I have planty of 380 AMD GPUs. Ethereum mining is ok and it has 20MH/s per GPU. But other alghoritms are pretty slow. X11 - 3MH/s while 280 has 7MH/s. Anybody know why is that ? Is there some incompatibility between newer gpus and sgminer/cgminer ? Many people have the same results, but hw can we fix it ? :) Title: Re: R9 380x and X11 etc slowness problem ?? E.g. if the original bin file is darkcoin-modTahitigw64l8ku0.bin, then copy it to darkcoin-modTongagw64l8ku0.bin Then restart sgminer. 2. Your 380X is Tonga, there aren't any optimized kernels for that one. So unless you pay someone to optimise the kernel, its not worth X11 mining. Title: Re: R9 380x and X11 etc slowness problem ?? Unrelated to this thread, but you seem like you know what you're talking about :o If you don't mind, could you tell me what algorithm is best for mining with a GTX750Ti (I've been told Quark is good, but there aren't many coins)? You need to learn programming or pay Wolf0 to optimize the X11 algorithm for your Tonga based cards. X11 is only good for Pitcairn, Tahiti, and Hawaii. He probably won't do it because there are X11 ASICs out right now and pretty soon you won't be able to mine X11 with GPUs anymore. Idea is to make 380 as good as 280x for every each algo. |
