Title: Bitcoin betting or sportsbook site with an iOS app?
Post by: tyz on April 25, 2016, 06:08:47 PM
I like to bet. For that reason, I am looking for a Bitcoin betting or sportsbooking site which offers an iOS app.

I do most bets on Vegascasino and Betcoin.ag but neither of them offering an app.

There is no bitcoin sportsbook at the moment that has and Android app or iOS app .Though most of the sites are accessible on mobile browser as well so i don't think there is need.

Thanks, I am aware of that most sites are offering adapted sites for mobile devices but the thing is, I travel a lot and on roads the cellular network is mostly very bad. Mobile sites are still consuming a lot of traffic because they are mostly not optimized in data transfer rates but only for user interface. I made the experience that mobile apps do usually need much less data transfer to work properly.

Yes that is true as mobile app doesn't require to load whole site images and all those big things as they were pre packed in apps.
But as we all know google play store is quite cruel towards accepting apps like related to gambling, i think they are not accepting even sports betting app considering them as gambling app.

So bad luck, we don't have app for betting.

Actually when a gambling site have an ios/android app they do not need to put it on app store/play store because it is not allowed. The site can share the app on their main site and players will be able to download it directly.

Well, it is not true. Google allows to add gambling or casino apps. Look at the apps of Zynga, Miniclips or others. Apple also allows such apps, even it need to fullfil some prerequisits. So, it is possible to release betting apps on these platforms.

But I believe that that type of gambling isn't with real money, but rather their fake online currency, right? Zynga has no way of turning their currency into real money that you can use for transactions. Albeit there are microtransactions with real money to gain their currency, there isn't the reverse. I think that may be why the apps are allowed.

Are you sure google allows "real money" gambling apps? Here is what they say on their content policy "Gambling: We don’t allow content or services that facilitate online gambling, including but not limited to, online casinos, sports betting and lotteries."
And afaik zinga and miniclips are not gambling application with real money even though players can buy some chips with real money to play on zinga.

Either way these sites are better off putting the app on their website so they are not dealing with the constant rule changes that would have the app up one minute and down the next.
Is it that hard to create such a app?
Could run a app and not even need a website if its easy to apply lines and bitcoin movement.
