Title: Deposit to SR. How long to register?
Post by: plmkop100 on February 19, 2013, 03:39:23 PM
I have made a deposit to SR using BlockChain but the funds haven't registered in my SR account.

Granted, I have only done it 30 minutes agao, but how should it take to register so I can make a purchase?

Thanks

*sigh*

Another SR question. I believe they take 6 blocks to confirm and "show up".

As long as people are using it, I'm happy.

How long is a 'block'?

Roughly the same length as a string.

Pop the address to blockchain.info and check the amount of confirmations. From a reply above, I assume that it'll need 6 confirmations to have it show up.

Yeah, I wasn't trying to be a complete and utter ass. I didn't grasp that the question was "on average, how long does it take the network to solve a block" but grepped it as "how large in bytes is an individual block" which is mostly dependent on the number of transactions included in that block and therefore quite variable.
