Doesn't seem to be going so well, only 10 BTC so far.  It needs more of a PR campaign.

Perhaps if the crowdsale had an official post on Bitcointalk there would be more buzz around it.  This is just sad.

Only? That's a free 4500 dollars for a random crypto project.

It's not really random, the developer has strong associations with Secure Exchange in maid and he has been a member of the maid community for a very long time.

How people get funding for stuff like this is beyond me.  millions of dollars just thrown at random people who (99% of the time) produce nothing in return, let alone what was promised.  soooo shady :-\

Well in this case it's about 11 BTC but there has been way more thrown at shadier stuff than this.  I think the problem here is that the conmen know how to make a big fuss whereas the honest people get forgotten.

Well done on trying to raise awareness of this.  Are you in communication with the ICO holders?  Might be an idea to suggest to them that they post an official thread (with full information) on here as their current absence is a huge mistake.

I understand that this is a strange project I had my hesitations before listing it on my site. But it seems that all other platforms are developing this sort of technology such as Ethereum(Ujo https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/3nde86/purchase_imogen_heaps_tiny_human_with_ether_on/), Bitshares(Muse/Peertracks) and otherwise. I'm not endorsing this project in anyway, but I think it's a nice project to look into apart from the typical financial, cryptography, monetary related technology. Many people have told me that this person is very reputable in MAID I know this project is very different but we need some diversity in projects.

I agree.  I think this is legit as any other project.  The lack of an official thread is just a major issue.

MAIDSAFE has a history of creating projects that exceed market capitalization very rapidly also so there is a financial reason that this has been added to the site SAFEX raised 122BTC it now has a market capitaization of 2,876 BTC.

Agreed.  As with all crypto it's a gamble but for the reasons you noted I'm certainly investing but it would be sad for it to fail to reach it's full potential due to a lack of awareness.

I think the aim is to reward them for their work.  Either way I suspect you are one of those people who don't think art is valuable.

You could say the same thing about any altcoin or other cryptocurrency.

There's a reason why 99.9% of altcoins are no longer around. The devs need to do some LSD or something because most of them are unimaginative pump and dumpers.

The majority of time and effort expended during June has been on engagement with the wider community to identify potential alliances and joint projects.
A number of open source components have been identified as providing required functionality and co-operation secured from coding teams.
The user interface specification has been completed in advance of the planned date and is currently being dissected into work packages ready to offer to the coding community on a bounty basis.
Work packages will have quality criteria against which each will be tested prior to acceptance
The interface specification cannot be completed until key elements of functionality are released by the SafeNetwork. In the meantime internal interfaces will be specified and built.
The release management plan is dependent on Safe Network and SafeCoin release for full functionality with a view to mitigate this by releasing components on existing platforms for system, integration and user acceptance testing with network integration testing delayed until required functionality is available.
Delay in completion of the detailed design has been offset by both recent and projected increase in the value of Bitcoin and has prompted consideration of which components over and above minimum value product could be potentially incorporated for release 1

Development has commenced! it has been decided to commence development on existing technology to enable a faster proof of concept to the marketplace. Safecoin flow-through will be replaced by additional functionality within the seed engine which, on integration with the Safenetwork will be utilised for assurance purposes.
Marketing Update
Marketing has remained relentless over the summer with more creative’s being engaged and enthused about the project. Promotional materials will go into production during September and these artistes have all shown willing to promote the n99 platform to their fan bases.

I don't even remember if I kept the N99 back up information I had during my last update.

why not? I invested, following and watching, we all know this will take time. So keeping us updated is way to go.
