Title: Block download speed Post by: naukop on June 10, 2011, 01:55:04 PM I just downloaded the client (0.3.22-beta) and the block download has really slowed down to a trickle.
The first 50,000 dowloaded in a few minutes but now its been 30 minutes for the following 20,000 (around 73,000 blocks now). Still showing 8 connections Is it because the "newer" blocks are bigger? Larger blocks also take longer to verify.
