Title: f*D 1 troy ounce .999 fine silver BTC loadable coins/wallets (IN STOCK!)
Post by: FiniteByDesign on April 29, 2016, 01:19:08 PM
IN STOCK NOW!

Low cost, DIY, 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver, 1/10th Bitcoins (unloaded)

VIDEO: Chronos Crypto Video Product Review (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9r02fyaOz4&feature=youtu.be)

The goal here is to provide these as at close to spot as possible so people can purchase multiples for storage and gifting of silver and BTC gifts. Of course there are incremental fees that include die creation, hologram, airtight capsule, profit, etc. The batch is 1,000 coins and each one comes with 1 hologram and an airtight protective capsule. The coins use our 1/10th BTC die for the front and a new die created for the reverse to provide a recessed area for hiding a private key under the included hologram so the end user can load the pieces with Bitcoin.

Pricing:
Singles = $50 each

Shipping and handling:
US = $10
Intl = $25

I'd definitely take one at that price. It does look nice and a bit different from what I currently have anyhow.

Yes I'd be interested. Have you ever considered getting proper custom holograms made?

You mean something like this?

Yes, the holograms are very pricey and require a large order, but perhaps I will pull the trigger.

I will have to agree with minerjones and TheNewAnon; out of those three, the first one is the best (I guess).

Hi Chris,

I think its about time you got some nice new holos.

#1 or 2 looks best to me, though #2 looks straight out of Casascius.

I'll get a coin if it has a new holo like these.

In order to do the upgraded holograms, I would need to make this a larger scale project (1,000 coins). This would push me to selling 10 packs rather than singles.

Are there interested parties in 10 packs in the $300 range ($30 per coin)?

1k pieces is a very large financial investment so I do have concern regarding if there is sufficient customer interest. I know there are about 10-20 collectors who buy one of just about everything but that market does not justify me investing a couple thousand dollars into new 'proper' holograms and a large batch order to keep the price low to the end buyer.

Where exactly would you be getting your holograms for >1k$ for a batch of 1000? Or do you mean the total cost for the project? I'm getting some holograms made, and I'm fairly sure they won't be more than 1k$ for 1000.

I am not sure who you are going through for holograms but Prism Hologram is the company that makes the fancy 'proper' ones like you see with Casascius and Lelana, etc. They are beautiful but you have to order 5k of them minimum as they create custom templates. The cost per hologram is not bad but you have to make the large order. The cost for 5k is $2200.

UK shipping would be in the $25-$35 range I am pretty sure as long as the package stays under 4lbs. Over 4lbs and it jumps to about $65. 16 ounces in a pound so could most likely keep 20 pieces packages under the 4lbs cutoff.

Thanks, but due to US regulations, we can only sell these unfunded but the coins will come with a hologram so the customer can very easily fund the coins themselves.

Still not completed with design stage but hoping to have that done early this week. Then we can move into production. Not sure how busy the mint is presently but will be at least a few weeks to get them ready to ship after design stage is completed. I will update more as timetable gets solidified.

Update: Moving into production, just awaiting final mockups for approval. Estimated 'in-stock' date will be mid to late June. Product has been added to the website and is available now via preorder for those wanting to get the lowest numbers possible. All sales are sequential, no reservations or special numeric requests, first buy, first serve. Numbering begins at 0001 on associated Series 7 holograms (new custom holograms as shown in thread). 0001 is mine so public availability begins at number 0002.

If purchase by Bitcoin is desired, please contact me directly.

I generate unique to sale addresses for each transaction so unfortunately that is not an option. I hate to use them, but I may just re-establish Coinbase as my payment processor.

Regarding transaction itself, how i will be able to prove preorder was paid by me? Are you going to make list of people and publish it here?

You will have history of our communication along with Bitcoin transaction details. Basically the same things you would have in the case of a regular sale (not preorder).

I had not planned on making and maintaining a list but if necessary, I can look into it. They are a bit of a pain to keep up and I am not sure how much of a benefit they add...

Yes sir, it is a large batch (1,000) so I can offer them at a much better price than normal in the physical Bitcoin realm.
Pricing:
Singles = $40 each
10 pack = $325 ($32.50 each)
20 pack = $600 ($30 each)
Inquire for larger order quote

Shipping and handling:
US = $10
Intl = $25

The earlier you order though, the lower number in the series you will get.

Silver spot price up over 25% in the last couple weeks, over $20 an ounce. Get your coins before I have to raise retail to keep above spot.

100 pack option is temporarily removed as a large portion of the inventory has developed some milk-like spotting (see reference article link below). The portion of the inventory with the spotting is going back to the mint for meltdown and repressing so I am working with a small inventory until this is completed. If any of the orders already shipped out have an issue, please reach out to me and we can swap out any spotted coins (do not put the hologram on!).

So these are just bitcoin wallets combined with silver? I am thinking of some thing new where you can store bitcoin and take out cash if need be with it. That would be awesome.

Like a bitcoin ATM for coins?
Or a bitcoin debit card (Xapo, Wirex, etc) that would allow cash advances?

That would have to be a small printer installed into the back of the coin :P

thanks

Yeah a bitcoin debit card is more what I am looking for. Thank you for the suggestions. :)

Damaged inventory has been melted down and re-struck so the 100 pack option is available again. This is the lowest cost you will find for .999 fine silver physical Bitcoin pieces. Each one comes ready for customer secure DIY assembly - recessed area for hiding the private key and a custom Series 7 f*D hologram with etched window for visibility of public address.

100 pieces @ $25.50 each = $2550

Get yours before we experience more economic turbulence while silver spot price is low.

Bulk purchase options have been removed as I expect silver and gold to follow Bitcoin up in these times of economic insecurity. These pieces will be released in small batches going forward. Only 51 pieces available now.
