Title: [ANN] New Faucet gain-bitcoins.com
Post by: sunchaser on April 30, 2016, 08:59:14 AM
Hello, I would like to announce a new faucet, Gain Bitcoins v1.0 located at www.gain-bitcoins.com (http://www.gain-bitcoins.com)

I wrote the script from scratch using a MVC Framework: my intentions is to improve the script and add functionalities based
also on your suggestions (I am fairly new to the bitcoin/Faucet world).

I don't have now real data on the Advertising/Solve Media income so ATM I balanced the Satoshi payouts based on daily BTC/USD currency and about a earning of about 0.53$ CPM (not very much but I am the beginning). I am currently running coinURL ads, but if anyone has better suggestions...

The Faucet uses the Micro Payment service FaucetBox.com

Satoshi Payouts

Solving a captcha

60 (50%)
86 (35%)
200 (15%)
Timeout: 5 minutes

They may change based on BTC/USD daily rate change

Completing offers (Surveys, completing tasks)
from 2.000 to 80.000 Satoshi
Timeout: 0

Referral bonus

5%

Suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Hey, I hate to rain on your parade, but generally speaking, users don't like to register on sites that are so low paying. Your offerwall is a good addition to your faucet, but paying directly to FaucetBox after each claim doesn't require registration.

I personally don't register for sites like these just because my email address has ended up on so many spam lists, or were sold in data dumps to other dishonest buyers.

Would it be possible to offer what you're offering without the registration aspect of it, just as many low-paying faucets do? I think you'd find yourself much more successful without registration.

Cheers, and good luck to your new faucet; the site looks great!

Hello BTCforJoe thank you for your feedbck. Before taking this decision i looked a lot of faucets and actually i saw most of them don't require registration. This is obviously faster for a user,  especially by using a rotator, but I decided to require a registration because i need a bit of more security. With this, the timeout is based on user so i hope to avoid bots and to fill the faucet with ads and anti-bot links.

As you saw I am publishing a offer wall with a company i have a contract with and in future i may publish other offer walls and other ways to get greater sums of satoshi
(now they are up to 80.000 but i can raise them also to 100.000 satoshi). Also i would like to add an achievements system so a member can get some advantages if reaches an achievement, so i need a registration. I noticed though if i use the password save tool of chrome i can login with just a click and you can create an email account solely for this faucet.

The low pay for the captcha is because I need to have some data to understand how much RPM ADS and Captcha are giving (but frankly I count more on the Offerwall earnings).

EDIT: Or maybe i can add a 'remember me' function. In this way the faucet will require a registration but then it will be usable on rotators for fast claim.

Wow. This reply has impressed me to the point where I feel like your faucet is going to evolve into something that is extremely worthwhile. Kudos to you; finally we have a smart and educated faucet owner that's looking for sustainability and longevity. There are very few of you in this industry.

For that, I will register to your site so that I can track your progress. Just a tip, check out smashbtc.com, as they evolved into something quite amazing; I was there since day one, and the admin had to endure my groaning and griping through all of his growth, but finally, the faucet is very cool, and you literally get paid to do EVERYTHING on that site. Admin seems profitable at it, but he did start with a shit ton of popups that were just annoying as all hell lol.

The achievements and badges idea is pretty awesome, as well! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what you produce and evolve your faucet into. Best of luck to you!

Hello all, I just installed release v1.1 of my Faucet scripts Gain Bitcoins.

URL: http://www.gain-bitcoins.com (http://www.gain-bitcoins.com)

Changes

- Added 'Remember Me' function
- Added additional Offer Wall
- Raised payouts
- Added saving of captchas and completed offers (for later use by achievements)

Remember Me
If you successfully logins and don't explicitly logout, at the next access you will be automatically remembered by the Faucet and will access directly the Captcha Solving page (useful if the Faucet is accessed by a Rotator).
If you logout, you will need to Authenticate yourself again. The cooldown for Captchas still is based on the user.

Added additional Offer Wall
An additional Offer Wall has been added. For completing a offer it would be necessary to complete a task (like registering to a website and confirming the account, or completing a survey, or download a game etc.). Normally I choose offers where i don't have to give personal data, but if one doesn't bother those one gives the higher payouts (up to 80.000 Satoshis).

This morning i registered to paysafe and i got 6.000 satoshi in about 5 minutes.

Raised Payouts
Raised payouts; The faucet with these values 'should' sustain itself with the solve media earnings and few ads. If, after a period of observation, the margin will result higher, I will raise the payouts. Payouts changes (semi) dynamically with BTC/USD change rate. (I still need to update manually the currency change :) ).

Captchas and Offers Stats
Number of solved captchas and stats are saved for later use (achievements).

Suggestion & additions to Rotators are welcome!

Sorry, but I wouldn't like to sign up on a faucet just to earn probably 68-100 satoshi or 300 satoshi in the best of hypothesis... I know that it's a 5 minutes faucet, but the minimum reward is still low. Maybe the offer walls worth for some countries but for third world countries it rarely is usefull. Good luck with your faucet anyway!

What would be a minimum acceptable reward? I have done my calculations and I don't understand how the other faucets can be sustainable, unless the ads reward is good (and i don't think so).

I think 100 minimum reward is good. If you are using adsense you can have a good income (the best ads network). When faucets/sites have a good traffic they go up on Alexa Rank and it let faucets use best ads networks like MellowAds, so you use some different ads network together and earn more.

Maybe a faucet owner can give you best hints to earn more with your faucet. You must create a good strategy like: Time between each claim x rewards. I'm just saying because if you set low rewards people won't use your faucet and nobody earn nothing.

*** Raised reward to 500 Satoshis per hour, get them while it last! ***

For common interest I will share the Faucet Balance of May. The Faucet in May gained few Satoshis thanks to some offers that has been made. If it was only for
Ads revenue, I would have lost Satoshis.

In June (I added some more ads), is still not going well as the clicks are few and the Network aren't pay too much. At this moment, I don't know how a Faucet can be profitable
without Adsense.

Its better you reaise referral commision % from that 5% to get more users as no rotator listing your faucet due to low commision.

I have about 400 users and some (few) rotators listed the faucet.

Anyway my problems are not users i guess but the ratio earning/incoming. Maybe i'm missing something but i don't see a positive ratio
income/earnings, idk how other faucets keeps functioning.

I can fund the faucet for quite some time, but before raising the stakes i would like to see that the faucet is self-sustainable.

Thank you

Okay, so I buckled down and finally created an account. Question: will you have the ability for users to create their own passwords and use their own usernames? I'm going to have a hell of a time trying to remember my password or have to reset it every time I login if I don't have it handy. I've looked in the "Your Account" tab, and don't see any of the options to customize my login.

Thanks!

There is a remember automatically function so if you don't logout and you keep cookies you will be automatically signed in.
However yes, this weekend I will need to add a "Add Faucet" to the Rotator and next i will implement the Change Password functionality.

Password Change function added. You can specify as a user the email you registered with, i find it easier to remember. Later (if i manage to earn with the faucet i am now loosing)
I will add also the username change.

Hello, to whom it may concern, the faucet will be closed today due to impossibility - after many tries -
to earn from it, even by keeping low rewards.

Thank you.
