I never thought that more than 1% of the Detoilet residents could read and write. Seems like I was wrong. My apologies.

We should thank Coleman Alexander Young (mayor of Detoilet) for driving out the white residents and creating the first all black city in the United States. IMO... all the African Americans should move to Detoilet, to strengthen the black brotherhood.

When Hollywood decides to film the remake of Escape From New York they can film in Detoilet and won't even have to build sets, just add some CGI for any scenes of the decayed skyline and viola...

You put anyone in a situation where they go days without food and worry if the power is going to go out and you will see a drop in brain function. Try this on if you do not believe me,go a 24 hour cycle without sleep and then try to function the next day.

You think they are getting the best teachers from a bankrupt system?
The parents will not be reading and teaching their kids when they are trying to figure out how to keep food on the table,its a simple fact of life. Survival trumps education and you can see that any where in the world.
Pointing a finger just shows more of how on a state to state level America is willing to let some states fall apart. Think thats really more the issue to look into than wagging a finger and making a race issue.

actually, i wasnt surprised because detroit is a ghost town now.. every thing is getting worse and worse for that reason it is so usual that academic performance  is the worst of all..

Yes it does.

You have to look back at how blacks where allowed to buy land and there where conditions on where they could live back in those days,for fear of driving the value of houses down. So they where usually off set away from the city and limited in services. So these areas continue to be areas that are majority black community's today.

If you are limited in education services and everything is rigged against in a subtle way,you are not going to succeed in life. The police have been documented over the years to deal with black males differently than white males and that's just one aspect of how they do not get the benefit of the doubt.
When you are a kid people say that's a bad kid and he gets dealt that way,he does not usually prove them wrong but reinforces that trait. Its the same issue we have today with the reinforced image of a young black male.
