I wonder how would price of Bitcoin be affected if real Satoshi nakamoto comes out in public and prove beyond any doubt that he is real Satoshi.Would bitcoin price fall or would it rise very high?

if a joker like craig can cause quite a bit damage to the price by just saying he is satoshi, then i think the price will go down around $100 in a matter of hours when satoshi proves himself really to be the satoshi and not a foolish imposter. it's ridiculous that the price will go down that much, but it is what it is. maybe because traders think satoshi has lost access to all his coins, and if he is signing from these addresses then it means these coins may get dumped at some point. that could be a reason for the their fear.

I assume the price wpuld go up. Because Satoshi being anonymous makes bitcoin more on the shady business. If real Satoshi goes public, then that would mean He doesn't have any thing to fear and he probably thinks he won't go to the jail somehow.

Don't laugh me, bitcoin has more enemies than its followers. And with enough money, you can send everyone in Jail, that includes the president of Italy :)

what are you talking about? satoshi can't stop bitcoin from being used for shady business. and him being anonymous isn't the reason why people think that way.

the price could rise naturally and to $500 after some months. but I'm sure that there will be a dump after satoshi reveal himself (with proof).

Thats right.You can't hold Mikhail Kalashnikov responsible for militants using his invention.If some innocent is killed by AK 47,you dont blame Mikhail Kalashnikov,then why giving Satoshi a bad name if bitcoin is misused?

It still depends on what he decides after coming out if ever the real one reveals himself. In case he comes out and says his not going to use whatever bitcoin he has on his disposal then we could expect a price increase but if it says he will be using his coins or sell then we could see a fall down of price.

If he creates sell walls then that will prevent the btc price to increase but if just leave his btc where it is right now then it won't do much.

Bitcoin would be more acceptable to sober minded people if it's biggest holders and their future intent would be public.
Right now it's just blind hope that someone won't put the market to it's knees, who has the ability to do so. It's not just Satoshi, but people also blindly hope that the stolen MtGox coins have already been sold.

 If you act in the right time, you can burst the head of the little snake without waiting it to grow too big. Satoshi will go public but this is still not the right time as his enemies can hunt him down in a dark place and make him disappear. People dissappear in this world all the time.

When Craig verifies he is Satoshi later today we will drop to double digits within minutes and not recover.

Exposing Satoshi, no matter who he is will almost instantly destroy bitcoin. Which i believe was the whole plan of Craig and Gavin in the first place. They will probably offer us a 'magical solution' once bitcoin and its economy are in ruins.

Bitcoin price may fall a little bit like few days ago if real satoshi came out but if real satoshi doesn't sells any of his million coin or move those coin, than after few days price will be come back to normal price and keep growing like happening now. It will be hard for all of us to believe even real satoshi claims he is satoshi who create bitcoin.

What make you think that bitcoin will be destroyed if Satoshi is exposed? any good reason behind this thinking?I totally disagree with your opinion because nobody love bitcoin because its creator is anonymous.We love bitcoin for completely different reasons

honestly i was afraid that if Satoshi nakamoto comes out in public the prices will fall but till today nobody else can proof who is the real Satoshi nakamoto but in my opinion Satoshi nakamoto exist or not it does not matter for me

i real satoshi comes out these days somehow, i think it won't affect the price that much but if satoshi decides to move the coins associated with him somehow then i would expect a fall. but i doubt if it can be that big like only $50-$70 fall no more because the market is so much bigger than before.

In my opinion if real Satoshi comes out,bitcoin prices will go up vert high.
I am sure he is not a fool to sell all his coins in one go and cause bitcoin prices fall considerably.He would definitely keep them holding

It is an attempt recently that someone is Satoshi and the price started to crash a bit but if the real satoshi comes out the price probably will be decreased because the bitcoins that are hold by satoshi can be send somewhere else or confiscates.

in my opinion, if the real satoshi can give "highest trusted proof" , im sure the price can be rise, the reason is sathosi will introduce and explore about bitcoin, and he will make roadmap, plan, to make everyone use bitcoin.

The Satoshi will dispose of the bitcoin he once owned responsibly. So the price of bitcion will rise again.

I guess when satoshi appears, he will make bitcoin prices higher. Well it is a coin made, maybe he will make it grow and evolve into a better coin

i think there is no problem if satoshi original Nakamoto out to the public, as long as he does not sell bitcoin that he had for destroy the bitcoin prices all will be fine.

The price would honestly just surge because of different reasons out of anyones control.

But him/her being known out there would be a huge improvement since technical details like soft or hard forks with bitcoin.

And other technical stuff would be resolved by him and others give more stable direction then it is now.

I'm not sure why it would matter.  It's an open-source protocol. The only thing I could think of that would cause the price to tank is Satoshi's mega stash of Bitcoin.  However, since all economic players should be considered selfish-in-nature, there's no reason for us to assume that Satoshi "burned" these bitcoins as some have claimed.  It seems to make the most sense to me that the majority of investors, operating under the rationale of self-interest, believe he still has them and therefore that supply has already been priced-in.

If Satoshi actually did burn these bitcoins, and it could be confirmed, I would imagine the price might go up. 

we have already seen panic regarding this issue in the past its no surprise that weak bitcoin users panic when they think feds will crack down or the main wallet will move.

I doubt the real Satoshi would want to harm bitcoin. Its his creation his legacy. The genesis block had a message about banks doing QE I think. Why would he seek to destroy his creation ?

After a few more revelations of the Satoshi, people will feel numb about this. When the real Satoshi comes out, the effect will not be so dramatic.

if you are an investor in bitcoin and especially if you are a big investor (or a whale) you don't care about who satoshi is at this point. these people will only care about the price of bitcoin and how much they can earn profit from it. so in case real satoshi ever appeared it won't affect the price unless he says he is going to dump his coins which will never happen.

at this point even 200k coins would be absorbed easily by the market, none can kill bitcoin by simply dumping anymore
