Title: Best AMD SDK variant for Linux? Post by: Beta-coiner1 on February 23, 2013, 05:34:30 PM I am new at using Linux and wondered what is the best variation of OpenCL and or AMD drivers to use under Ubuntu 12.10 for Radeon 6xxx and 5xxx series of cards for max. perf.?
Title: Re: Best AMD SDK variant for Linux? Post by: crazyates on February 23, 2013, 06:39:48 PM You do not want SDK 2.6 or newer. Some people say 2.1 was better for 5xxx cards, but others say 2.5 was better. Since you've got 6xxx cards, I'd say it's a pretty easy choice of SDK 2.5.
I've never mined on 6xxx cards, but if you need any help tweaking the 5xxx cards under SDK 2.5, I can give you a few pointers. Title: Re: Best AMD SDK variant for Linux?
