Title: Mining with a GTX 750TI?
Post by: Charloz24 on May 09, 2016, 01:31:06 AM
I have. GtX 750ti and was wondering if there is something minable with it that will earn profit? Whattomine website is saying that it hash 811khs neoscrypt but is this right? If so how?

TIA

You can use that to mine X11 coins. It is not good at mining the Ethereum as the DAG size is too big for it.

no, it`s mistake or joke )

they are good at quark, and because you have no ethereum it's the only option now, look at nice hash it's seems profitable among the other algo

not anymore you saw the new sgminer kenerals for quark 280x hashrate doubled NVidia is note more superior in quark

they do 6k-7k with private sp mod, how much one 280x do at quark? i remember 12k only and consume more

Assuming you are using nicehash.com miner that auto switches to the most profitable algo and at 10cents /kwh, you would roi in 275 days.

You can go to https://www.nicehash.com/?p=calc
U can probably roi faster with faster custom kernel

The 750Ti has the best energical efficieny, so everything big enough should be profitable.

It is not efficient to mine the Ethereum. It has too small memory. It is good to mine other algorithms.

It depends - if it's a 2GB 750Ti, it's actually profitable at Ethereum but only pulls 3.5MH ballpark (about 40 cents/.day right now) *BUT* the card itself eats less than 20 watts doing so - the REST of your system will eat more than that.

If it's a 1GB 750Ti, it CAN'T mine Ethereum, you have to look at other options.

They are actually more efficient than the 900 Nvidia series, hash/watts. You just need a lot of them to actually make any real money.

230khs for neoscrypt is at 60watts or lower. get 42 of them and you have a power efficient mini farm. Ethereum is what really killed them for making money, but on other algos they are still very efficient. Use SP's public miner https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=826901.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=826901.0) and https://www.whattomine.com/coins (https://www.whattomine.com/coins) to find a profitable coin.

But if you want to earn 1.8$ a day per 750ti you need private kernals.

I have 6 private miners for the people who donate (donators will get updates).

1. 0.1BTC: Pentablake +100-120% (3 releases)
2. 0.1BTC: Cryptonight +10% (one release)
3. 0.1BTC: Spreadcoin +10-20% (with full sourcecode / linux compatible) (9 releases)
4. 0.1BTC: All nicehash algos optimized. 0-10% (6 releases)(x11,x13,x14,x15,x17,nist5,quark,skein,lyra2v2,neoscrypt)
5. 0.1BTC: decred +18-25% (9 releases) (Full sourcecode(linux) 0.4BTC)
6. 0.2BTC: Vcash(+13%+decred(+18-25%) (0.1 btc discount for the decred buyers) (6 releases)

Spreadcoin is currently making 1.8$ /24hours @1.9MHASH for each 750ti. The AMD R9 380 is doing 2MHASH with 3 times the power, and cost 3 times as much. The 970 is doing around 5$ /24hours of mining. My private spreadcoin miner is currently more profitable than Etherum for all of the maxwell/Pascal cards.

Nice. You should build some private miners for ETH if you can. I would buy some.

I am working on a dual miner that can mine etherum+another simple algo(0memory) for free. It only works on gtx 970 and upwards. 750ti,950 anr 960's are.to weak.

So I think the 750 TI is not efficienct to mine Ethereum. The system uses about 100W and the total power is 220W, but the hash rate is just 21 MH/s with 6 cards.

Do you only optimize NVIDIA ? Because I mostly have AMD. Like Tahiti and Pitcairn .

Depends - for Ethereum, the GTX 950 is almost identical efficiency on a per-card basis which gives it a HUGE edge on a per-system basis, 3x the hashrate PER CARD at about 3.5-4x the power (system with 1xGTX 950 and 2xGTX 960 hashing 31+ MH (had almost identical hashrate when I had all 3 of my GTX 950 in it), 74 watts on the 950 75 on each 960).

The bigger GTXs fall off some from that, more on a $/hash basis than on a W/hash basis though, though past the GTX 970 by report the hashrate doesn't get much if ANY better.

I never got around to trying X11 on them, the difficulty on that has gone up quite a bit to the point I doubt I'd be break-even at my current electric rate - ASIC deployment seems to be progressing fairly quickly the last month.

BTW sp_ you DO know about Claymore's dual-miner for ETH and ... Decred? I forget what the other coin is called exactly.

i need to learn power consumption and the hashrate.

I remember that I tried to mine with my PC's GTX 750Ti to the addition of my dedicated mining rig. It almost doesn't use any electricity (ultra efficient) but the hashrates were really poor on any algo to be honest. I just stayed to my rig and didn't stress out the PC.
