I will sell all my btc (45 btc to 225000$) ;D

I will just continue to spend and buy back more coins. It will be great if my company start paying me in bitcoins...

I'm sure bitcoin won't reach $5K over night and so I may have to sell most of the altcoins i have before it happens. unless these coins I'm holding rise along with btc's bull trend.
And I will then withdraw all the coins i have and kill myself by eating all the ice cream.

and how do you plan to cash out ?

How are you helping Bitcoin be adopted by the masses,
as the masses will need to adopt bitcoin for it to reach that value,

I think I will do same as I did until now, I like everything. Here and there we can earn some money, invest in something and we all have a chance to make nice money. That is what I like about btc, all you need is internet, wish and you have a chance to make good money.
Doesn`t matter if you wish to trade, or gamble, or maybe choose something completely different...

0.32 * $5000 = $1600, that's still a nice amount especially if you earned the 0.32 for free or you bought it at $460. You still get a nice profit, so why you need to regret and wanna kill yourself?

If Bitcoin was to reach $5000, I would be incredibly glad, and, depending on where the market looks like it is/was heading in that period of time, I might either exchange it and/or buy some stuff with it or hold onto it if the value looks like it is going to keep going upwards.

I'd be fairly frustrated if I missed the upswing and never bought during said upswing, but I would be fine with it anyways because this would mean I would have made ~$50 on every 0.01BTC I own, which would be amazing for me.

Of course i also sell all my bitcoin and turn it into fiat and also i will work harder on signature campaign, because that's only way i can earn bitcoin and sell it for $5000 each bitcoin.

I doubt, cashing out at that time would be hard. Everyone willing to cash out and buyers waiting for lower price will make it low. A very thin volume should be at 5k.

Well, I would most probably be doing the least obvious thing, wait for it to reach $10 000 and then cash out and pension early. Some people think it might go up to $100 000 or even $1 000 000 but I think most people would have sold on much lower prices at that time.

Just imagine for one second, a price of $ 1 000 000 / bitcoin. ^hmmmm^

If Bitcoin reach such a price, which I doubt, then I probably would have cashed out some of them (I really need the cash, in my country with Bitcoins bad attitude), and the part left for storage and trading on the Exchange.

If that happens that bitcoin will reache $5,000 I would definitely sell all btc I have, and I will put up a small business here in our house.
And I will try to earn again with btc and I will just do the same again, invest.

If bitcoin reaches $5000, I will sell one and have a nice little vacation holiday. Then I will sell another one and buy back when the price dips to 4200.

For now, I think it was imagine, still too far away to think such a price, but anything can happen, such as when bitcoin price rise to $ 1,200.

He's joking because is a little quantity. He thinks is better to continue to accumulate while BTC is relatively cheap. If BTC reachs $5000, it would be harder get free BTC.

I have little BTC so, I will keep my BTC while the price increases and then keep buying altcoins and trading until I get a jackpot.

I'll exchange all the BTCitcoins that I have on my disposal to fiat, then will find a local guy that sells BTCitcoin mining rigs, then pay him in fiat for mining rigs (I'll buy as much as I could afford) and use those to mine BTCitcoin which is the best possible option in terms of profit. Take note that this don't apply to others since I have a very cheap electricity compared to most.

Too far off, people nowadays sell when there's profit so upon bitcoin reaching $1000 there will be lots of selloffs. But if it ever does in the dream world then I'd sell mine as well then buy half of the profit with altcoins then spend the rest in another business.

Yeah it's like that, it is still too far for now. But I said all could happen as when late 2013 and early 2014 when the bitcoin penetrate the $ 1,200 price than the price at that time people did not predict it and, as it does not believe the increase, and it happened.

I will probably unload 50% of my coins and keep saving the rest basically for ever. I will always make sure I have a good portion of coins that I will only sell if the price reaches something like $10,000 after 20 or so years.

if it would happen in this year, then yeah i would sell all my bitcoin because the price will come back down where i can buy back even more bitcoin. but since $5000 will take a long time to reach i will still hold but spend my coins then.

Yes $5000 is possible in near future, I think we can see that price may be after 5 years, when there are more number of users and higher popularity.

If that ever happened and I had say 100 bitcoin, I would sell some build an eco home with solar panels and start a mining farm and mine the sh*t out of altcoins and bitcoin so I could earn some more and live happily ever after lol.  ;D

Price in 5 years is either much higher than 5K or much lower than today. Bitcoin will be over 10 years old at that time, with other words, the experiment either happens till then (huge adoption) or it does not (just enthusiasts on board).

For huge adoption 5K is peanuts.
 

Anything is possible with bitcoin in future, it can also go beyond $5k in future or it can also fall back to $100 so its difficult to predict that where bitcoin will land in future.

I'm not going to do a damn thing, all of you fools selling your BTC at those sorts of prices will be selling it for worthless paper currency if the price is that high. Don't forget, Bitcoin is a deflationary currency, it has far more value than paper currency ever will so if it hits $5000 that signals to me a major case of hyperinflation.

If will hold until it reaches $10,000 per btc.I will sell half of my coins at this rate and keep rest with me in some cold storage

I would probably hold because if it managed to reach that price, then it would probably keep going up and I would make more money than you guys because you would probably just sell straight away.

If Bitcoin will reach that high value than there will be a lot of people that is going to get rich because the most are also now saving their coin and that is nice.
But it will takes a very long time until the value will be more worth and that is bad so you need some patience also for it.

If Bitcoin would reach that price I would surely sell most of my coins I think because that would make me allot of money. I would still hold on to some coins because you never know the price can get even higher then $5000.

Selling would let you gain huge profits for sure.

Nobody will know what is going to happen with the value and that is because it is a currency and that is the problem.

Why not wait until $100.000? we will get there anyway. The higher we get, the higher the ceiling of possibilities. People will start considering higher and higher prices the higher we go in an endless loop until Bitcoin sucks all the fiat out of stupid stucks, assets, and commodities all over the world. We'll reach the trillion dollar marketcap long term goal, I have no doubts on my mind about this.

I'll just say that my actions would depend on the trend. Whether the price will continue to go up at that point, I'll hold on to btc or if it's going down, I'll sell them.

Good dream, i wish the day will come very soon, but it is very hurry, because now in this time, it is not possible, but later on after few years, it will be happened, when bitcoin will be at $5000.   

I think your company will not adopt bitcoin payment system. high price does not mean bitcoin has a high popularity?
if bitcoin has a high popularity certainly will push up prices because many people will use bitcoin.

I think a lot of people that bought at around 1K will sell right after we hit 1K because they are pussies, and are scared to wait for longer, so we will see a correction once we hit around 1 to 1.2K, and as soon as it starts correcting, all the rest of the world that is thinking about getting in, will start getting in so we will go higher than ever before.

If it reach 5k I´m gonna sell it as fast as possible because the fact is that its just a very high amount and you can make a lot of profit with it.

i share your view. when we hit 5000 USD - why shouldnt it hit 10.000 ? 20.000 ? so selling all my coins at 5k would be pretty stupid.

I like your style, but if trillion dollar marketcap happens I guess you wont be able to sell to dollars anymore as fiat vanishes from people usage. But thats the point of Bitcoin, financial revolution to get rid of shaddy and not transparent fiat system finally.

If it will reach into 5000$ soon maybe more people are greedy so they are exchange their bitcoin into fiat.. so that they made a profit or this increase price.. but not all people can do this because they are still expecting more about bitcoin..

If bitcoin went to $5000 that would mean that it could get even higher. So I would definitly not sell all my bitcoin but only a fraction of it. that way I could sell the rest later for a lot more!

i would not sell. that would be stupid to sell, because if the price reaches the high price such as $5000 it means it is now more popular that it ever was and in other words i wouldn't need fiat to purchase stuff, i can use bitcoin instead.

I feel the same way. Seems surreal that we reach $5000 before 2020, Bitcoin has some rocky future ahead. The main problem will be future laws and regulations.
I am worried that this legal status uncertainty might dissuade a lot of people from investing in bitcoin.

I thought I was reading it incorrectly when I saw it's at $5000. That's asking too much based on the current price right now. Even in a few years' time, it's gonna be hard to reach that price, not taking into considerations that there will also be price pullbacks coming. Maybe aim for $1000 before even dreaming of it going to $5k. Just my opinion, though.

That will be one of the most happiest days of my life. I will sell all my altcoins and buy bitcoin with that.

Also I will be able to fulfill few of my dreams with that money. But that is not going to happen overnight. Even if it happens (though the chance is very less), it may take up to 20 years from now.

5000$ one BTC what is this? There is a limit for every thing if it exists we can not digest that like that if it reach 5k$ then hackers will stop everything and they start to hack our accounts and robbing our bitcoin what you say? I think it is not possible for our generation and also next generation. So discussing about this is just time pass this will not happen any time so we just want to dream regarding this that's it.

If the price of Bitcoin reaches $5000 I would probably sell whatever coins I am holding at that moment and exit the Bitcoin scene. But I am doubtful we will see such a price rise in the near future. Maybe after a couple more halving events we will see a much higher demand and the price will rise accordingly. My projection is for 2035-2040 when Bitcoin hopefully will have gotten more mainstream and the demand will have increased.

If Bitcoin is going to have that high value than there will be a lot of people that is getting rich and that they can earn a lot of profit with it and that is nice if that is possible.

Wow! I can not believe 1 bitcoin reaching to a price of 5000. It is only on 460 and that is a lot by itself. If this was to be the case then bitcoin would have be inflated and something would have gone seriously wrong.

If this is going to happen I am sure that I am going to sell so much coins maybe even all of them. It depends on when it is going to happen, if it happens with in 5 years then I will sell some and save some.

If Bitcoin gets to $5000 at one time I will most probably liquidate all my funds invested in Bitcoin and happily cash out and enjoy the rest of my life partying and travelling. But I fear if everyone sells their coins at once the Bitcoin market will surely crash and may not recover again. However I doubt it we will have such an opportunity in the next 50 years.

I will celebrate first, because that day would be a great day. and in case the price has reached $5000 at the current rising speed (meaning a slow rise little by little) I would be so much happier because that price will stay and also reaching such a price would mean  a lot more people are using bitcoin so I will never sell my bitcoin since bitcoin will be the new fiat.

Try to collect as much as you can at a moment, as price would be worth more in future so holding for future and selling when see the best price is highly recommended.

I will cash out all the bitcoin I hold and start a business with those cash. As a part bitcoin acceptance will be implemented for all sorts of services provided in my business.

Well it all depends on the reason why it rose up so much in the first place. If there's an incoming bubble, i would dump all my holding with
no second thoughts and buy myself a car most probably, but if the rise was caused by some huge news that coluld mean stabile price or
a possible rise, i would stay a hodler i am today.

This price more than an ideal price, so buying again at that stage does not make too much sense, even though the price i think that i will leave a part of them for a longer period of time maybe 10% or so.

And this is why it will be so hard to reach $5000, because so many people are short-sighted and dump their BTC at the first profit as measured in fiat. But if fiat really is in trouble from government mismanagement and cryptocurrency really is the wave of the future, why would you ever sell out?

If bitcoin hit $5000 then the market cap would be over $75 Billion. At that level the flight of capital from fiat to bitcoin could be large enough to be making a macroeconomic impact - one that could begin feeding on itself given that central banks have already used all their ammo trying to prop up their currencies (think negative interest rates). So it might well be past the 'tipping point' (assuming the transaction volume bottleneck had been resolved by then), in which fiat currencies could go into a death spiral in favor of bitcoin/gold/whatever else.

In which case people selling their bitcoin for $5000 apiece would find they just bought a wheel-barrow full of money that will buy them a loaf of bread, while the buyer of their bitcoin will be part of the new wealthy elite.

If nothing else my time trading altcoins has taught me to "sell on the backside" of a price spike. Not while it is on the way up. You can't guess the peak, and people tend to sell out way too early in the big price spikes.

No, it will not go to down very faster if it reached to that value because when bitcoin will reach to that value it will have gained a lot of fame and a lot of people will be there to support it and will have in their wallets, so they will not dump it.

i would buy even more bitcoins in my opinion because i would hope the price to go up even more than just 5 thousand dollars per bitcoin, my aim is way bigger in order to become rich one day

i would wait to such heights as 20 thousand dollars per bitcoin because bitcoin has a lot of potential to grow to such price and in my opinion the only question is when it will happen

@OP: I will probably wake up and turn on my computer to check the real price of Bitcoin (that will be still about ten or more times less than that).
Then I will realize that this was yet another unrealistic dream that won't happen any time soon.

I will sell all my bitcoins and convert it to my local currency, and I will invest that money in real estate, as it requires huge capital at initial stage so profits earned from bitcoin can help me there.

Kinda hard to say what I`d do with the value, since by the time we see it, I can be gone from natural causes of death.

But assuming it hit now, or the recent future. I would probably just treat out all my family and few friends a great place to eat.

The rest would be used for speculating of buying and selling and obtain to create more cash.

That is a good idea, investing in real estate because the value of land is getting more high as the time goes by, and it is good to invest in property rather than cars because cars every year depreciates unlike real estate.

Its a good idea, but like anything you get into you need a deep understanding of things.

I know the very basics, but you gotta also factor in costs vs if the investment needs more work on the property - then hoping for a sale is really not a answer.

People who been successful at flipping houses are those who networked or built a team around how to get in and out. \

-contractors cost
-lien on the property or not
-negotiation if it does have a lien holder for what price - if you can pass this with a bank
-a damn good realtor who has a huge network and their plans on selling it

We all know that it is very expensive to invest in a real estate / property. If you are concern with the cost, its up to you on how are you going to understand that circumstance.
But for me, real estate would be a really good thing to pay for and invest to. You are in a win-win situation with that kind of investment.
You can use it when ever you want, and if you are get bored of your property you got to sell it even with higher price depending on its location and some other reasons.

$5k would then most probably have much lower value in terms of goods you could buy, than it has today.

You said that you will sell all of them as you have a fear that the price will go down again, then keep remember a currency go to increase in value only when people adopt it and make it in use and when everyone leave it the value drops down, so if everyone think like you then it will definitely come down, we should have to stay with it so that the value remain at height for longer time.

Definitely , if bitcoin reaches to $5,000 we will sell it but I don' know if the exchange sites will accept all of our requests at the same time for all sell order. :D And I'm thinking if they will get bankrupt if all of us sell our bitcoins.

I don't think exchanges can get bankrupt ever they are making huge profits even at this stage, but the fact is we don't have to worry about that as it will still take long time to reach there.

How about the exchange sites? If ever we are going to sell it all, I think they will just buy it if all of us will going to sell it to them. Or not, they will control the selling of it, if no one wants to buy it that time they need to control it, I guess. There is no problem of dreaming :D as long as you are not hurting other peoples life, it is fine to dream.

Yes, the price value is slow but sometime we notice that the price increase to height with bigger jumps, and so it is a possibility that one day the price will increase much faster and the result will be toreach to $5000.

$5k seems to be possible to achieve in next 5 to 10 years, bitcoin will be lot bigger by then and there will be many companies and businesses that will start accepting bitcoin.

it's great to see much more companies to accept bitcoin, but that also means that there will be more selling pressure on the price. it's much more beneficial for us that we'll get institutional investors to start investing their money in bitcoin. with their money the price will go beyond $5000 if they ever happen to join. but at this point it's pure speculation combined with a bit of fantasy.

I would say the following: it is fine to dream as long as it does not affect the way you see your investments.

I think that, if that happens, a big global crisis will be in place and dollars will be undervaluated lol. Probably it will be better at that time to use bitcoin directly, so use it to pay my bills in that case.

People are going to be happy and that is because they have the opportunity to make some profit with it and that is nice for them of course because that is their main reason why they bought it and that is perfect.
But it will takes a long time until it will reach that high value and I am for sure that it will at least reach that value in the end of the year.

If it will reach that high value than there will be a lot of people with Bitcoin are selling it and that is logic because they can earn profit with it so that is perfect for the currency and for the people with already Bitcoin.
But the chance is really small that it can reach that high value and we have to be also realistic and it is now rising not that fast.

People will not wait till it reaches to that value, they will sell all their coins if it achieves $1k+ price, as that is also a very high price for majority of us.

I would honestly just sell my bitcoins for a nice price to make some nice profits, the most will do this and I think its also the best option.
the price will never be on that number, only for a little while.

Yes majority of us will prefer to sell bitcoin and make huge profit out of it, the only fact is no one knows when bitcoin will achieve that high value.

yes you are right, in fact there will be no one knows when it is achieved, because I think bitcoin will never go away, even to the $5k, it was just a dream and it is difficult to achieve, and many factors as well that make bitcoin difficult to achieve a very high price above $5k

I wish the day will come,i will sell my all bitcoins.
But it is only when profitable if in this time bitcoin will reach at $5000, than we get profit. otherwise after 10 years, may be bitcoin will reach above $5000, so it will be a normal for us. because in that time, currency value will be count.

You will sell all your coins? Whatever price there is in the futute, I will never sell all my coins. I will always have some coins aside for when the price goes even higher. I see it as some sort of retirement bonus.

Well I think that is a good decision that you will sell half, but it will take a long time for that thing you want to happen.
And that will be a long investment term but still everything can happen with bitcoin.

Bitcoin's price is volatile but not this volatile. At most we will see 600 this year from were the price will come slowly down to find balance near 500 dollar.

Sure we all hope for the max. But that's just dreaming out loud.

At $5000 I think transaction fees should go down to 1/10th of what is now considered a fair fee, which is I believe is about 20 satoshi/byte.

And dreams should be realistic as that price will take long year to achieve, I don't see anything higher then $600 in this year, and that also if everything goes fine at halving.

Actually bitcoin price is now $471 something when suddenly the price will come $5000 in this time, than should sell the bitcoins now, it is a big profit.
Don't think that save the bitcoins for long term investment. it is already a big profit.
In my view,this price will come after 5 years, so it is useless to hold your bitcoins for long time.

The most people will sell it of course with that high value and some people will even become rich so that is perfect but we have to be realistic also.
And as you can see now you see already that it is stable and that it will rise soon.

Yeah price is on rising stage now, and it will rise in future too as we are expecting halving in next few months so you should wait and sell if you are satisfied with the price.

Very impossible thoughts but if we are lucky to see this price tommorow i will regret because i have only few bitcoin in my wallet.. but if it will happen on the next year and i have even 5 btc i will be happy and i can start buy house and lot.. and start new business..

Bitcoin is not going to be that high value and that is nice because you need some make profit with Bitcoin but that will takes a long time.
But it wont be that high value soon and it will takes a longer time until it will reach that high value.
