Title: For Hire - Excellent Dutch Translator
Post by: MXXWLL on May 09, 2016, 10:53:02 AM
Hi all,

Would you like to hire a excellent translator for your new website for just a fraction of the price you would normally pay? In need of a clear translation for your product, in order to boost you sales worldwide?
A translation that is actually understandable for your customers, not only half?
I am providing an excellent Dutch translation for your site, posts and all sorts of text for a really cheap price. I am a native Dutch speaker and I can communicate and translate the language very clearly!

Currently I am providing two sorts of translation:

English > Dutch
German > Dutch

Throw me a PM for more details!

Not only half what?  :D

Do you have examples of translations you've done in the past? Dutch doesn't translate well from any language, often parts of the original text are literally lost in translation and this can kill the message the author is trying to get across. How do you handle that?

What are your rates?

Hello sir,

Could you send me a technical article in German or English around 200 words? I would like to give you the opportunity to review my skills concerning the translation process of German and English to the Dutch language. That would be totally free of charge. Just throw me a message (in Dutch if you prefer) and we'll continue our conversation. My rates could be discussed, it depends on multiple factors actually.

Here are 205 words:

Uber and Lyft pull out of Austin after locals vote against self-regulation, Texan city rejects ballot which would have repealed strict new regulations

Ride-sharing services Uber and Lyft are suspending operations in Austin, Texas, after the city’s voters rejected a proposal that would have allowed the companies to self-regulate their drivers.

Instead, the voters upheld stricter regulations that the city council passed in December: ride-sharing drivers are required to pass fingerprint-based background checks, clearly mark their cars with the ride-sharing company’s logo, and not pick up or drop off their passengers in certain lanes of the city’s streets.

Uber and Lyft wanted those regulations to be repealed, and if Proposition 1, which went to the polls on Saturday, had passed, they would have had their way. Instead, despite combined spending of nearly $9m against opposition of just over $100,000, voters rejected the proposition 56–44.

In a statement, Lyft said: “Lyft and Austin are a perfect match and we want to stay in the city. Unfortunately, the rules passed by City Council don’t allow true ride sharing to operate. Instead, they make it harder for part-time drivers, the heart of Lyft’s peer-to-peer model, to get on the road and harder for passengers to get a ride.

Just post the result in this thread so we can all review it. Well, some of us.
