Title: What would be the number of BTC you would be happy in 2 years time?
Post by: crazyivan on May 09, 2016, 12:29:26 PM
Hey community,

I ve been reading a lot about BTC and a few very promising alts recently. There are a lot of speculations about what happens after halving and what could be the next heir to the throne, if any. So, having all this in mind, what would be your realistic MINIMUM target, the number of BTC you d feel comfortable with within the next 2 years. Pls avoid statements like 1 million or as much as possible. I d like to know what kind of return you would expect from all this and what is your minimum limit.

Thx

any sort of modest increase, it dosn't have to go to the moon.  if it stays the same then i would be worried cause that would mean that new people are not coming into bitcoin.

For me, the target is 21 coins and slightly more (a bit greedy). However, I will spend whenever possible and buy some back to replace.

If by then, I've been able to accumulated around 30 BTCitcoin (2 to 3 BTCitcoins per month - separate to my real life income), then that would be the point in which I could call myself a happy one. But on the other hand since it's value isn't stable and were all unsure of it's future value, then my number is regardless of future and purely based with current rate.

I think there will be only bitcoins after 2 years time. You can see the speed with which it is growing

I think realistically to get a chance at a generous return before you're back in diapers you're gonna need 100 or more coins and even then it might not be life changing. I'll never have that many but that's what I'd be going for if I could.

For me, to LIVE, quite confortably but not that luxurily, with Bitcoin, I would need about 132BTC at the current rate.

My primary goal would be to have 15 btc in next 2 years, and whatever above it would  be bonus for me, and I am sure I will achieve that value in next 2 years for sure.

Which ones do you find promising? I am looking to invest in some alts as well.

As much as possible but realistically I'd feel comfortable if I could have at-least 1 btc per month, so if I am able to get 24 bitcoins in 2 years, I'd be content with that.

i am going to say as much as possible too, because i don't really have any specific number in mind to buy and keep, i only invest what i can afford to invest and nothing more than that. if i have extra money that i like to invest i would buy bitcoin but nothing more.

I like to diversify and do not concentrate only on Bitcoin. I bought some other promising pump n dump coins like ETH and also some government coins like Ripple and for the anonymous pump n dumpers, some Dash. I still have some LiteCoin and DodgeCoin.

If I see a upward trend in BTC or any other coin, I would just shift things around a bit to adapt to the changes and to cash in on the profits. Most of these coins end up as fiat or BTC in any way.

If I can double my coin count every year, I would be more than happy, but that would be unrealistic. I think a 30% increase per year, would be a lot more conservative.

I'd be happy to own atleast 10 BTC in the next 24 months, but that's highly unlikely since I only buy when my funds allow it, then add to that the little that I'm earning from signature campaigns. Maybe if I get a huge salary increase, I'd consider buying more. But that would also depend what value BTC has in those two years.

A lot would be my best answer. But since a lot varies from person to person, I'll go with the number 1000, minimum 800 :) But that's pretty much impossible...

Over 2 years I would be happy with 100 Bitcoins or more but from 100 I would be happy. I hope that I can achieve this amount over 2 years because that are allot of Bitcoins.
I have to wait and see how to price is doing.

People love the 21 figure but there will never be 21 million coins in your life time and there wouldn't be anyway since so many have been lost.

It depends what happens with bitcoin would be my answer to OP, 10 BTC could mean you are a millionaire who knows.

For me, the most comfortable amount would be 10-15 Bitcoins. That is, with this sum I would be calm. Bitcoin for me as an alternative to money, as well as a means of investment and trading.

I think everyone here tries to get as much coins as possible.
For one it is easier, for others not, depending on your financial possibilities and skills in terms of trading.
However the one of a million club (owning 21 BTC) would be really cool to achieve. It's cool because theoretically only 1 million people could own 21 coins each. And because of the actual distribution owning this amount of coins would be something.

Keep spirit dude, you will reach that if you patient and assiduous to make harc effort. Actually if you join in signatures campaign which give you more payment rather than now, you will make you more easy to get few amount of bitcoin during two years, if you think that less you can  make a little additional effort to getting 10 bitcoin during two years. Your plan is not impossible dude.

I don't have any kind of limit for myself but I had some kind of step by step goals for myself like reaching 0.01BTC then after that 0.1, 1 and so on.
but I never try to invest more than I can afford to invest so that is some kind of limit for me. and I am happy with what I have got, I am not looking for more than my potential.

I am hoping to have at least 10 Bitcoin by the middle of 2018(in 2 years time). That amount is reasonable and I could still make a decent profit off it.

Title: Re: What would be the number of BTC you would be happy in 2 years time?

I don't depend on bitcoins or take it as an investment opportunity and hence, any amount I own will be sufficient. As of now, I;ve traded in 5 BTC max so in 2 years, I would like to trade in over 10-15 BTC in total. I may hold 1 BTC max at a time by 2018.

I would be happy to be holding 10 Bitcoins or more in 2 years. Actually I could buy 10 Bitcoins right now if I want to with fiat but I am not feeling comfortable investing a lot of cash into something as unstable as Bitcoin is at the moment. Whatever the price is in 2 years I will be satisfied with it because for me any profit is good and I realized it's too late to become a Bitcoin millionaire. Plus I don't use my salary to buy Bitcoins and it's just a hobby for me and not my main job.

Realistically speaking with the price of 1000 USD hopefully within late 2018 early 2019 , having 150 BTC is my life changing amount, I can buy a shop and give it for rent for 800 Euro per month and live OK in my country by only this amount. I know its very difficult for me to get 150 BTC but so far I have so many good results with my sports betting that I am increasingly thinking I will achieve this.

I'd be happy when I get at least 200BTC in 2 years time maybe if the value is still the same. That's pretty much the average earnings for two years from a physical job, considering the current value of bitcoins. If the value did change, I just want to earn at least the same value in USD. I'll be happy with that realistic outlook.

To be honest and to be realistic I think I will be much satisfied if I am holding 50 btc in next 2 years, as my job doesn't allow me to get full time on bitcoin, but that is good amount for me to hold.

But i should take another ways like trading or other in the next time.

I guess I would love to have 21 Bitcoins in 2 years as this seems to be the magical number for everyone because 21 million Bitcoin will be ever mined so if I own 21 of them that means I will be one of the privileged people in the world  :D Jokes aside I will be happy with any profit that I have made till then as this is just extra income in addition to my daily job. It's a pity I am not one of the very early adopters who made the big bucks though  ;D

We ll see $600 soon, I have no doubt about it. The problem is that with the price going up, there s less and less chance to stash a specific amount of BTC. So, in a way we all hope for the price increase while we all understand the fact it s going to be harder and harder to gather BTC after the halving.

What about you?

Well, I'd be happy to have as many bitcoins as I would possibly want, but obviously that's not going to happen. So I think that having an amount of over 500 bitcoins would make me happy.

But I'd probably have invested a lot of bitcoins into other investments.

Realistically, 200-400 btc. I'll be selling a lot fo them so if I can still own 200-400 in 2 years I should be doing very well.
What about you?
I think 400 bitcoins is impossible to reach unless you have some outstanding skills or you have some sort of trick and may be yeah if you are too good at bitcoin trading or gambling. Otherwise for a person like me, I would dream max of 20 bitcoins in next 2 years to feel happy.

Thx

Hi crazyivan, thats a very interesting question and I really also  hope that after halving of the bitcoin its price will go up and I wish I have even just a 100 bitcoins and the price of that bitcoin by that time is 2000$. I know that is a little bit impossible and unattainable but who knows right. If that happens, I'll be more than happy and give some of my earnings to charity.

Yeah i couldn't agree more with you ,  without high skill reaching 200 until 400 bitcoin during 2 years is very hard. Moreover the price of bitcoin always going up. I think when you have huge number of capital to do trading you will get it more easy

Well, I'd be happy to have as many bitcoins as I would possibly want, but obviously that's not going to happen. So I think that having an amount of over 500 bitcoins would make me happy.

But I'd probably have invested a lot of bitcoins into other investments.
500 BTC is really gettable because you just need to work hard on what you are doing now and 2 years means 700+ days and if you are real hard worker you can easily earn 1 bitcoin a day working very very hard and some days you can get 2-3 bitcoins also.

yeah, though you have to work your real job and then transfer most of the fiat you have to just buy bitcoins, and you might get easily broke if the people start dumping bitcoins

i think i would like to have at least 100 bitcoins in 2 years because i know that they will be way harder to buy as most people will be buying and rising the price, that would be a great investment for me

In my opinion before the halving effect bitcoin price will be around 700-800$ dollars, but after the halving effect it will be up to 1200$ and then gradually will go down, in the next two years i think bitcoin price will be around 700$so will be really comfortable if i have around 200 btc in the next 2 years

In 2 years , i want to get 10 BTC.
With price + $1000 per BTC . Ok , i don't have much skills . But i can do some job. If i get this ,  I want to buy something with btc.
Because i hoard my bitcoin now , it's good to hold your bitcoin . For getting higher value...

the more bitcoin i have the better.

although i would be a very happy man if i could accumulate something like 50 bitcoin within next two years.
and it would be so much better if after two years from now the bitcoin price is stable above $1000 and don't come back after a quick pump.

100-200 is pretty safe for me, I'll probably HODL them until the price runs upwards. Bitcoin will eventually stop producing blocks, so why not? I see a nice investment here, but there are 2 things that'll probably restrict me:
1. A really long time
2. Bitcoin could die in that time
3. Price might flop (but this is so far in the future, remember)

Only time will tell, but for now I'll be saving some cash from various places including my signature campaign, and hopefully I can hit it rich someday. :D I definitely should have bought more bitcoin when the price was around 350$, but it's too late now. If you ever plan to timetravel, bring an antminer s9, a ethernet cable, and a PSU. Easy money :D I imagine that the network would be disrupted,  but just don't travel TOO far back :p

I would like to accumulate at least 15 bitcoins in next 2 years and save them to see how the price bumps and reaches up and up. Though I know earning 15 bitcoins is like climbing a mountain, but those who dreams only fulfill it ;)

In next 2 years, hmmm, maybe around 30-50 btc  for me. If btc price at $1.5k - $2k. If the price still stable like now, so around 60-100 btc.
Wow you have dreams worth to appreciate. I think I would be happy with just 2-5 bitcoins because I have lots and lots of other works to do also. I think I would easily earn such amount in 1-2 years given that my progress remains good.

Yes I would also like to earn more than 20-25 bitcoins in next 2 years and then invest them in sites like moneypot and just relax. The best part is I know my money is safe and its anonymous and wont be lost unless I get foolish.

As many as humanly possible. I want the whole pie, Diego, I'll even take satoshis coins (don't worry, I won't sell).

Notice that satoshis coins are like a kill switch for the whole project? Smart man  ;D

I think my minimum target is 1 BTC, but I will earn more after getting 1 BTC. I can't make high minimum standard because there are another activities I need to do instead of earning bitcoin.

Don't you think that 1 btc is too less amount to earn till that point of time, I am sure if you work hard on it then you can achieve more then 1 btc in next 2 years.

I think i would be fine and comfortable if i hold 10 BTC or more.Just plat safe and think of possibilities since halving is coming price may hike or drop

For me, i would be fine if i have 4 bitcoin and i have 6 bitcoin in trading for trading altcoin. And even if the price of bitcoin is dump im okay with it because i know someday that it would pump until $1000. Because im starting in zero balance so even if only 10 bitcoin im happy.
