These are only a small amount of the reality of the number of coins.

This is a very odd question, it is all a matter of personal preference. For most, including myself, Bitcoin is #1 - it is the 'grandfather' per-say of all of these 'newer' aka altcoins. The original is the most logical to choose. Why? There are countless reasons, the most obvious is the market cap vs that of other altcoins, also, the value-$/Btc is at least 30x that of the highest-valued altcoin.

Bitcoin of course, as you can see, from the price for each bitcoin the price is really big, actually other coins is good too like dogecoin and dashcoin.

I used ethereum it has big volume and stability price.

Bitcoin is the best coin by far. It is much more stable and it is much more valuable compared to all the other coins. Most of the other coins are measured in Bitcoin, that really says something.

Bitcoin course, he had all the familiar and the familiar.
And as I choose altkoina Ethereum, dash.
Dogecoin I like it just the infinity of mining, trades on the stock is stability 49-51 satoshi,exchange passive. I dont like this.

Bitcoin is the best in my opinion, because

- It is the first cryptocurrency, and the original
- All the other altcoins are pretty much no improvement from bitcoin
- All the altcoin prices are pretty volatile
- Many of the altcoins are pump and dump schemes.

you should first clarify what you mean by "best", best for doing what?
if you are looking for a popular crypto that you can use everywhere to shop,... and has a good buy support and stable price (no pump and dump) then bitcoin is the answer.

if you are looking for something else other than bitcoin for pump and dump purpose and profiting then other alts like ethereum, litecoin, dash, maid,... can be best in a short period of time before they die again.

I think nowadays bitcoin is the most successful currency so for me bitcoin is best, and it also has the potential to increase to a much higher value in the coming future . and now a large number of online stores has adopted it for their payment.

Of course BITCOIN, bitcoin is the big and best coin other than coins, actually i have use dogecoin but for me bitcoin is more useful. so i refer to Bitcoin, because Bitcoin has a big name in Maketplace.   

When I first read the question, I thought he's referring to type of coin which could be PoW, PoS, PoSP or hybrid. Which crypto coin is the best will better fit, IMHO.

I think change everytime this coin but now ETH.

No doubt bitcoin is one of best coin and i don't think it has any comparison with other alternative crypto currencies, bitcoin is my favorite cryto currency and it will remain leader of the crypto coins.

Bitcoin is the only one has potential to survive in future and i am quite sure it will be world most demanded and secure currency in near future, there are so many wonderful reason to make investment into this real innovation because it is world first crypto currency and has more bigger community than any other.

Still Bitcoin because of acceptance, I can actually buy things that I use with it, while if I use other coins, I can't,

But ethereum has potential.

Well, we have different experiences on different type of crypto coins but for me it's still bitcoin. I've tried bitcoin first, and I'm already used to it. In addition, we can use bitcoin now in most of sites for online shopping. It's now more convenient.

Bitcoin, Ethereum, possibly Dash/Monero are the ones out there that imho are legit. That said, no guarantees that they will appreciate in value. Do your homework.

OP what is your intention with this thread?
If you wanna know something about some alts do a few polls over there I suggest.
However to answer your question I say Bitcoin is the best without a doubt.

apart from bitcoin you can not call other coins as "best".

it is obvious that bitcoin is the mother of all crypto coins so it should be better than others in any useful aspects.

BTC is prime that no doubt about

but more and more then and there we have some alt that pulls some attention
i can say which is good cuz in the way they are all good in something

i believe that every one here have some alt that can say it favorite but they will always mentioned several other like here dash, eth, doge, ltc ,nxt......

Lol of course most users will choose bitcoin because if in symbol bitcoin is the mother of a variety of coins and now this is definitely user of altcoin is bitcoin users. bitcoin clearly the greatest and most popular of all existing coin. so there is no reason not to choose bitcoin

Bitcoin for its wider acceptability and larger user base.Bitcoin is also highest priced crypto.

I will indefinitely choose bitcoin it seems like it's worth the time instead of the others. Bitcoin was the father of all those coins.

All coins are the best, but i like Bitcoins, i think you also know about, majority of the people will choose the Bitcoin.
because bitcoin is first coin and  Bitcoin has a big price and other coins have small price, so may be that reason we like bitcoin more than other coins.

BTC is still the best performing crypto currency available, owing to its being the first of its kind. I'm reading a lot of love for Ethereum, so I'm considering that as an altcoin that could rival BTC. I'll have to keep an eye on both of them to gauge and compare how well they'd perform in the coming months.

Of course the bitcoin must be the best But there is one coin that will always be the best. And
of course that's the real money coin we can't life without it so don't spent to many energy in the bitcoin

They all stem from Bitcoin. Exposure to Bitcoin && 10+ original code coins makes your investment more secure, diverse, freed from confinement into one paradigm.

Bitcoin by far has the most usefulness and adoption. It can actually be used for paying for things today. If you are more interested in investments, then maybe some PRE-ANN coin may be a better option - there's more chance of bubble-like gains in penny coins than Bitcoin at this point.

Obviously, the answer you would get in a "bitcoin" forum is that bitcoin is the best. There are also several reasons why we can say that. One is that it is the highly known among the existing cryptocoins. Plus, the value of bitcoin is a lot higher than any other coin.

Obviously bitcoin, it's attracting more and more global audience. More and more big companies are accepting it and more good things gonna happen in future.

Mainly the steam accepting bitcoin, good for gamers like me.

The bitcoin. But bitcoin have too many issues needed to be addressed, like block size, confirmation time, security issue etc.

At the moment, it's still bitcoin. It's hard to imagine for some, but I think we're still in the "early days" of crypto. I know the comparison has been done to death, but it's a lot like the internet in the early 1990's. While great things can already be done with it, the general public still hasn't caught on. Other altcoins might come close to it, but the little name recognition that btc already has is very useful.

None of the above would be my first choice.

However if forced to choose from the Limited PoW choices.

I would pick Doge & Dash.
Doge for its ability to make Micropayments.
Dash because of their Master Node design.

I personally like proof of stake the best. It does not consume massive amount of extra energy.

extra energy consumption give value to the coin, give a minimum on its value i think, so it's good

Bitcoin still the best because you can use it to buy stuffs online in purse.io..
Also CBX has a great future if you have some of this coins you can make a profit at the future..
They are now release more project about this altcoin and i think its better to buy right now..

The question is less clear. In there written bitcoin very clearly, then automatic when asked to choose which one is the best, then bitcoin is the best and and until now no good apart from the coin most bitcoin and all coins other than bitcoin (altcoin) a reference to bitcoin.

I don't think so. There are hundreds of PoW coins that have faded to 0 value (same with PoS or any other coin type too though). I think this argument doesn't apply to small market cap coins.

Something that's actually new enough to call itself new... Something with PoW/PoS that can be mined in the future, but not too much into the future. Something that can't be modified, updated or fundamentally changed to compromise the security of the blockchain.

I like the coin which does not have big preme, the developers are paid for with mining subsidy like Boolberry.

For me Bitcoin is best in every time, and also in all of other coins, I came in that place, i mean in signature campaign and than i joined Altcoin trading, because of bitcoin, So why i left it, Bitcoin give me a lot of new ways, which i didn't know before it, and one important thing is that bitcoin is more popular and trustable crypto currency than others.

Without a doubt, I totally agree with you. Bitcoin is the best coin among those altcoins that we have from now. Without bitcoin there is no altcoins because most of the altcoins only copy what is bitcoin and most of its features. Bitcoin is one of the most profitable coin because of its stability and its price is very volatile also.

Bitcoin is still most the than other altcoins because bitcoin is most old coin in the world and can be survive in the markets then other coins are just copycat and the second is ethereum ETH because ETH has solid of developer, it is has bagholder too, so ETH price is stable and never going down too much.

the only crypto currency that is worth thinking about buying and holding as a long term investment is bitcoin and nothing else. all other altcoins are at their best in short term investments and never long term.

but altcoins are generally so opinion based, some people think some of the altcoins are good enough to grow even in long term like XMR and LTC and they just might. and some think that some other altcoins like ETH, ZEC are going to go up in the long term and that is where they are wrong and caught up in the temporary hype.

Bitcoin and also dashcoin or dogecoin this 3 are really doing good when it comes on the market i can say that bitcoin now is really unstapable because every trader is happy because of what bitcoin will becoming now and it will more expensive on the month of june 2017 something like this. Hold your coins while you can.

Without question is bitcoin cuz he is good coin and oldest one rest are just some alts or some bold attempts to be better then bitcoin or something similar.
I must say that they are coins that are good and stable for some time and also are good for investments but think that this is personal option from user to user and no doubt that can be good and bad.
Believe that every user here has his own list i have to i truest few coin on this list and risk with also few coin on list but that is few we have several hungered of them so plenty to choose and plenty to invest
