Title: Advice on Faucets?
Post by: Jacoder23 on May 11, 2016, 01:40:21 PM
I have made a faucet and I just started out, so those anyone have any advice for starting a faucet?

Should I place ads? Make a rotator with it? Give insane referrals?

For starters you could post this faucet address here :) That won't harm.
Some rotator collectors will adopt your site in a jiffy, of course if its good for them liking.
More specific info about your faucet rewards and ref commission?

Some times its important how a faucet looks like. Nice graphics along with good reward makes
successful combo.

Have a great start with your project.

You are fighting a uphill battle due to faucets paying so little compared to time spent.    With being new yes you likely will have to do something to get attention paying better is most likely to get traffic.

On ad's how are you running a faucet without them?  I would think it is a must if your trying to get a profit.  You can add a rotator to your site... but unless something new/special I don't see it getting much traffic.

Payout every 30 minutes
1 doge (40%)
2 doge (35%)
3 doge (15%)
5 doge (6%)
10 doge (4%)
25 doge (1%)

Rate the doge right now is 42 satoshi it means 25 doge is 1225 but the posibility is 1 % right?
correct me if i'm wrong
i mean if peoples only got 1-5 doge it is too small

I think you might get better traffic with bitcoin faucet than doge. And I would remove lowest reward, as 1DOGE=0.00000050BTC
You should definitely put some adds there, if this faucet is new you should give higher referral commissions in start, so you can get free promotion, and latter you can lower it.
cheers

One simple and convenient suggestion is to spend 0.5B on your site and 20 days of payments, so people have incentive to come and click
And claim every day.
Then you will start to earn traffic and rank so advertisers start to give you ads and pay you. i promise you can start to profit after 2 months.
Other wise don't bother, also you have to remember users are the ones doing the work and when you respect them and pay them what they deserve(90% of all your profit) this is for long-term and growing profit by the hour though.

Yes but if you read the description you'll see that payouts are increase by 10% every month.

So, after a year; 25 ~= 80 ; 1 ~= 3 ;
Payouts are increased by 10% every month. Great! That's a little motivation to stick with the low rewards because after some time, like maybe a year, payouts get better.

At that point I'll probably shut it down or if it has reached a nice amount of users then
I'll turn it into a betting site with a faucet.

Well so much for that
