You run a mining program that packages up transactions, builds a block header and starts computing SHA256 hashes. It continues to increment the nonce and recalculate the SHA256 hash until it finds a hash value that is lower than the current target. Then broadcast the block to any connected peers. Just by reading and responding I hit Jr. Member on my first night here. Seems to me anybody that is complaining about the post/time limits isn't putting anything back into the community....not that I really put anything but snark and laughs back in. But wtf? 4 hours and 5 posts is a gimme.
