This is great, looks like we've created another evangelist in Mr. Tucker :)

As an extra tidbit not mentioned in the article, I'll add that he also just stated that he's going start the process to get Laissez Faire Books to accept Bitcoin as payment.

This is awesome, I really hope this is a start of a trend for the mises.org people as Bitcoin is the best that they're going to get in terms of a competing sound money to the monetary system that they so despise.

Does anyone know what came out of Tom Woods talking to Bitcoin enthusiasts?

He is taxing for take-off. Not quite there yet but soon.

I hadn't heard of Shire Silver before, but it's a pretty neat idea. I've never really been into silver and gold, but a pocket sized silver card would be fun to add to my currency collection, lol!

When you order, don't forget to use coupon code BITCOIN for 1% off (if you're paying with bitcoins). We have gold cards too, including the world's smallest physical gold trade unit at a twentieth of a gram.

That ATM is damn nice.

I think the tools to use bitcoin are now reaching the point where people who can "get it" are getting it ... the small (tiny) subset of intersecting disciplines previously needed to appreciate the potential is becoming much broader as the technical barriers to entry are lowered to include a much larger audience ... and the secondary speculative group surrounding that grows accordingly.

Cool. I wish it didn't take him so long given that I think he is a pretty bright fellow.

Definitely, if they would just realize the solution is staring them in the face. Looks like the lightbulb clicked on for Tucker. French seems near-ready. Woods...oh god please yes!

Exactly, they whine about auditing and ending the Fed. Why not just ignore the Fed?

It's the only realistic way.

Because they all want jobs there. How many "Austrian economists" work in academia, one of the most government-dependent industries in the world?
