Title: Scam faucets Post by: chekamarue on May 14, 2016, 12:56:06 PM Hi guys,
I just want to point a fact of a new trending wave of high paying faucet that are actually a pure scam Generally with high threshold in their own payment system or pretending to be attached to faucetbox and showing the reward message but actually they send nothing. For note it's not that hard to setup it by just touching some lines of code in the faucetbox script you can fake balance and fake payment message User resolve the Captcha claim the reward but when you check your address in faucetbox payment history there is no payment or the amount sent is much lowest than showing in the payment message on the faucet website This a warn to new or unaware user before using any faucet check first the legibility and always check your payment history in faucetbox addresss checker Also one more but not a general factor is ads banner .; a faucet with no ads banner is highly suspicious Take care Title: Re: Scam faucets Post by: ~Bitcoin~ on May 14, 2016, 01:30:11 PM You are quite right, as most of those faucets which give more than 1000 satoshi per hour than its better to be quite away from those faucets. Don't waste time and your effort on those scams.

Title: Re: Scam faucets Post by: Tipstar on May 14, 2016, 01:58:27 PM All sites that offer 1000-3000 satoshis every 5-20 minutes with high payout threshold. With the avaibility of micropayment systems and negligible network fees, high payout threshold sites are always scam.
Title: Re: Scam faucets Post by: Lucius on May 14, 2016, 02:24:55 PM After you make a claim you should always check FaucetBox,most people do not check and claim for nothing. Some faucets have new trick if you claim and get "safety limits",,on second try they send only 1 satoshi.Recently they use hidden adds which are located under address box and captcha when you open faucet,to avoid click on them you must scroll page up.I mark them on my faucet list,I think that this is not an honest way to earn.
Title: Re: Scam faucets Post by: mindrust on May 14, 2016, 02:27:58 PM Why do you bother with faucets in the first place? You won't get a damn unless you cheat them. And because people are cheating them, not they are also cheating people :D
Title: Re: Scam faucets Post by: felicita on May 14, 2016, 02:36:54 PM mostly new faucets are scamming people

Title: Re: Scam faucets Post by: marlboroza on May 14, 2016, 03:36:16 PM I don't know why people even bother to claim on that kind of faucets.. It suppose to be - resolve captcha - hit claim - take coins. You did your part with giving traffic/add revenue to owner, and owner should pay you for that.
And tbh there is no way someone can give 1-3/5/10K satoshi every 10 min, its minimum BTC1.5/day if you have 1000 users... Its just people don't want to believe faucets can be scam because only thing they invest is their time.. cheers Title: Re: Scam faucets Post by: CointasticXYZ on May 14, 2016, 03:36:47 PM All sites that offer 1000-3000 satoshis every 5-20 minutes with high payout threshold. Title: Re: Scam faucets Post by: BigBadBitBaron on May 14, 2016, 09:41:08 PM Just to make it clear,
if a faucet suddenly doesn't pay, it doesn't necessarily mean its dry. I personally have had a major headache because faucetfly (my service provider) stopped processing the claims. their stats were showing paid, but faucetbox users were not receiving their payouts this cost me a lot of time and a major amount of satoshi to fix, even though my faucet had over 0.1 btc in funds. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1471265.0 Title: Re: Scam faucets Post by: chekamarue on May 14, 2016, 09:56:48 PM I'm not accusing any one ! and didn't mentioned any websites even tho they re a lot ;D just want to warn faucet user about such tricky people..

Totally agree with you sir, But wanted to clear things up regarding my own faucet & the accusations I have been facing this last couple of days Title: Re: Scam faucets Post by: Marteen23 on May 14, 2016, 11:09:06 PM My two faucets are here to stay and they are definitely not scammer faucets... Some people have tried to do this before, but abandoned the project as it was too extensive. Just to make it clear, if a faucet suddenly doesn't pay, it doesn't necessarily mean its dry. I personally have had a major headache because faucetfly (my service provider) stopped processing the claims. their stats were showing paid, but faucetbox users were not receiving their payouts this cost me a lot of time and a major amount of satoshi to fix, even though my faucet had over 0.1 btc in funds. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1471265.0 As a faucet owner, I'd like to back up this claim. Sometimes, faucet owners will even edit something by accident and not notice! If this happens, try contacting the owners, and if they are legit, they will try their best to fix the problems as soon as they can. Help me get them to become the best faucets Bit-freebie.com (http://Bit-freebie.com) Satoshipalace.com (http://Satoshipalace.com) I used to have these in my bookmarks, paid out quite a lot, it was always a bust website, for sure the got hit by bots on a few occasions. But now the websites are operating , message at both urls is Forbidden: a malicious file has been detected. Detected as: Botnet.h.FaucetBox-1 I wonder how they did in getting any returns on them, or did they lose profits, ended up in the red.
