This is very interesting,and how are you going to make a profit here I believe there might be an abuse where people will be tempted to use other people's photo or copy righted materials to get the most of their campaign..

This is a nice try. But, I'm not sure if people will pay to unpixelate a photo. You need to have a long term plan for it. Is it NSFW related? The reddit asks for age verification.

Good questions

1. When payouts are being done, system holds %10 and pays %90 of collected money to photo owner. That is the profit that will make that service alive.

2. When you upload a photo, you have to spread it from your social media accounts and use your own reputation. So if you cheat people to tip for you, you'll lose your trustfullness and people never tip you again..

great Idea but try and work on the looks a bit. Such a image based website needs to look pretty attractive too.

Its easy but i think its bad work. I think you have a bad intention to that picture like naughty picture. What will you do to earn the picture? You sell it at pervert, pedophile .Thats not good its easy but think that your doing is bad thing. Many sites that accepting bitcoin for pervert people to entertain them so your plan is not sure that it will be successful.

This could be hit concept if you make effort on promoting this for long term. I have never seen this concept in other niche too, its better you state only adult photo are allowed and you first verify photo before it get displayed and start getting tip. Because people may get scammed with title only, you need to verify each image according to the title manually. Good luck.

Very unique and creative idea.I like how the image processing is done to reveal the part on the particular amount of tips.When are you planning to launch it officially ? Are you going to charge any fees or depend entirely on advertisements ?

Not really a new idea.  Bittit has been around for ~4 years doing this.  Cool though.

This really sounds like a good idea, I can understand the concept and this can work good. But I think you will have problem with people who upload pictures from internet. Of course you can say that person that uploaded photo is responsible for that, but its your site you give permission.
So if you find a way to solve that problem you will have more chances for success.
I also think that porn and just adult photo would be much better for this type of service. Its my taste, if I would pay it would be for something like that. I will follow this thread to see the progress. I wish you good luck.

I think the people who like porn site will like this idea so you need to first clarify if it is ok to upload adult photos here since all your users are adult in nature..

It is really amazing and interesting idea and I think the project will get a huge crowd and success very sooner. I also have visited that site and and decided to upload my photos there instead on my facebook account.

Its actually opposite of bittit.Bittit has the image completely revealed ,you just have to pay tips to watch it in high resolution.Op's site pixelate's the entire image and only on tips the parts of it are revealed.Tipper doesn't know the entire image before the maximum amount of tips set is received.

Out of curiosity.They will pay to see the picture.It is a good idea if photo owner keep the tip low,he can earn good amount because nobody would mind paying small amount to quell their curiosity

It would be cool if the uploader, could make a selection spot thats not pixelated. Kind of a teaser spot on the image.

This is new to me  how this one work? For just uploading pics you can earn money? And how to do payments and payout here? Little bit confusing cause i dont know whos people gonna give you tip and why they do people paying for just pics only while they can grab many pictures as they want in social media sites.

The only thing that is still needed IMHO is a search function... Let people search for images from your mainpage in order to drive more traffic towards those images :)

Not sure why would people like to unpixelate a photo unless the photo is something controversial and/or has adult content. Anyways, since your website itself promotes posting naughty pics,
then this will be one of the websites where E-whores will earn money from.

Just a suggestion though, I think it'd be cool if the users are able to have a wallet on the site itself. If he receives some money out of his photo, then he can use it later on to unpixelate someone else's photo. He can also use that wallet to get the BTC in and out of the website.

Interesting, but from what I see... or rather what I can't see - This picture is not pixelated - you can't see anything in this picture.
And I won't pay money to see that it is image of a tree or something like this.

My idea is - create tags for pictures: for example: man, woman, selfie, nsfw selfie, animals, nature etc.

Obviously ,I'm sure there is an option to comment on what the picture is.No one will pay tips to unpixelate a sheep or something.A girl flashing boobs would have tag like "Tip to see the tits".

nothing guarantees those pixel pictures are hers. they can be whatever, scary pictures, naked pictures of men, her pictures but low quality, censored, trolling face,... no one pays to have a chance to see them. this site will be left alone if the devs don't deal with it.

Well just some advice from one developer to another people are intrested in your concept but at the moment it doesn't work because there is no certainty that the image is what was promised. my recomandations are:

Create a way for posts to be verified
when the user is uploading ask them premission to verify if the picture is original and you can view the image and perhaps also do a reverse image search to see if the image appeared elsewhere. if you've decided the image is original you give it a green badge so people could have more trust to send funds.

The website needs a comments section or chat
the website is kind of a community website as I'm sure one person won't send all the funds to reveal a photo for everyone else also to view. So you need a chat to build a community around the website so it doesn't feel like you're the only person on the website anymore. This will increase the efficiency of campaigns and also give you a stable userbase.

That is some really solid feedback. I like it, definitely some sort of moderation of the pictures must happen.
Of course it will be impossible for op to check if person in the picture is really the one uploading the photo but it is a start.

Also I like to see some short description of every pic. Because you can't really see anything based on how pixelated pictures are right now.

It has become a new way to beg. Just take a look at this spammer (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=211765;sa=showPosts). He posted a link of unpix.in that costs 2300BTC to get unpixelated. I even saw a thread in this forum asking 0.06BTC for a "private key" of a wallet that has 0.05BTC in it.

The concept of the site has become one of the methods that people can use to scam/trick other people. They can scam people saying that the photo is a picture of something even if it isn't. People wouldn't know that they are getting scammed because the photo is still pixelated. Either way, it's not OP's problem/fault. I just want to inform you guys.

When building unpix.in I didn't wanted to create a user/picture validation system like reddit's GoneWild. Reasons are:

It needs registered users:
Adding this needs working pages like registration/login/reset password etc. That moves unpix.in from "easy and simple" concept, which is too important to me.

It needs adminstration
I (or someone) need to check if user is valid, post is really giving what it promise. It's a lot of work, I don't have time for this.
 
So... that "trust" problem can be solved simply tipping the posts which you know the sharer of post. If Kim Kardashian shares a link from her twitter account and says that "here is my boobies" you can trust her and tip for example. Do not tip post of a bitcointalk user whom is appeared 4 hours ago.

I think scammers will try unpix.in but in time only good posters stay motivated, others will leave the area in time.

I was thinking, you could upload a pixelated $5 amazon gift card and see if people will tip to reveal it, and when the goal is reached, you'd have a draw between everyone who entered and the lucky person who gets picked will receive the gift card. You`d have to make it fair and cover all technicalities, but I think the site definitely has potential.

Hi! there is an update: I heard your concerns about scamming so I've built verified users feature for unpix.in. Posters can register and get verified by introducing themself to admins. If a post is created by verified user tippers see a green badge informs  that owner of this post can be trustable.

This is really crappy. People don't often pay and i don't blame them. You must send a certain amount to unlock a picture that you have no idea what it is. It could be a picture of someones foot or something. Then you went and paid like 0.005btc for it.

It's becoming stable day by day, I'm fixing at lease one bug per day. Some of them visible, some of them not visible. The bug that making latest page broken is fixed a week ago.

You're right but it's about posters. Tippers staying away from tipping because of 3 reasons.

  1. They are NOT being informed well about what will they get when revealed picture. Using title and descriptions properly is a solution for that. Most of posters are not using them well. For posters putting some revealed posts on profile page is so important to make tippers teased for more.

bittit.info is mainly considered as a Adult photo sharing platform. While i think that Unpix is a much better idea . Also the layout of this site is great and i wish i will be used in a positive sense and  not only for adult material.
