Title: What are the ranking levels on this form, how does trust work
Post by: mat_williams on May 17, 2016, 04:32:06 PM
Was wondering what the ranking levels are (eg, newbie, jr member, hero, etc)
How does one move up the ranks?
Also, how does one gain or loose trust?

You can find the answers to your questions on the Newbie Readme sticky thread > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=177133.0
tho I suspect you already know about the trust part.

what does the depth thing denote .????

som people refer it to as dt 1 / dt / dt 2

how does ones depth affect ones trust score.??

i have default level , though ,!!!!!

but i am nice to most of the mods.!!! and also i defend myself so i think i don't care much about a trust score cause if i am innocent i will demand an explanation.

Be aware that Trust can be an arbitrary weapon on here that some folks here will wield to put you in your place even if no bad faith was involved, but just because they don't like something you did. Exercise judgement in your interactions and exchanges.

DT refers to DefaultTrust, which either indicates the default depth (2), or the user "DefaultTrust", which theymos uses to add people onto DT1.
The DefaultTrust system works like a web - the people that are DT1 have on their trust list are on DT2. The people that are DT2 have on their trust list are on DT3, and it keeps expanding. There are more than 4 levels, but the max depth you can pick is 4.

With due respect sir, he made a general warning that's pretty valid.  I'm not sure why that deserves a neutral trust for him by you.  I see no evidence that he didn't read the posts.
