I ordered one a month back. U need to provide the address where u want to send the card, also u need to provide some fake name and phone number. I got a mail to my address after 2 weeks since I provided it. It was from one of biggest companies in the world and they partnered with a big bank to issue the prepaid gift card. It legit from the bank itself. From the google search, it looks like that company using the gift card to issue rebates and money back guarantee. I need to call the bank to activate it first and then start using it. I am not sure how they are getting the card in first place. Sorry for being naive. For me this looks like a good deal. I get discount for my prepaid card and I'm not doing anything illegal here. I am kind of afraid of the consequences becoz this deal seems way true to be obtained legally or by following the rules. I am very spectical on this. Would there be any issue if I keep buying from the seller in more quantities like once a month or so.? I'd be skeptical too if I didn't know from where it came from. Those cards can get blocked or cancelled if they were stolen or obtained unrightfully. but sometimes there are websites/companies that are selling these things at a discount. don't know what the card is you are looking for but a service like gyft sells all kinds of cards and it is legit. It is highly likely that the prepaid cards were initially purchased with ill-gotten dollars, but by handing that off to you, you are now the bearer of the (perhaps) illegally obtained money. The sellers are willing to take a 40% cut because it means they can now safely use that money. As a general rule of thumb, you should always be cautious when purchasing gift cards at significantly discounted prices online. Not all are tied to illicit activity, but if you purchased from a frequent seller who appears to process a high volume of product, it is more than likely that there is some illegal input on their end that you are unknowingly becoming responsible for.

But surely this cannot be applicable to his scenario, because he is saying he is buying from a bigger organization. OP can you possibly reveal the company for us to give you some more detailed advice. I doubt that a company like for instance, gyft would be laundering money. I know some individuals would be doing this, but bigger companies will not knowingly do this and risk their reputation and their future income. |
