How does trust on profiles work? I don't understand also what makes it go higher and lower?

Essentially, it is a weird interconnected network of people trusting other people; and if you aren't in someone's "trust circle" you aren't going to be getting a good rating.

Also weird things happen in relation to people setting up their trust settings different from other people on the network.  People sometimes put their "trust level" settings on something different from the default setting, and it makes the ratings change pretty dramatically.

I'm a newbie still trying to get to grips with the trust system.
 1: -0 / +1

Please can someone affirm/clarify my quesitons/assumptions below:

1) I assume that only those in the trust network of the person who left the feedback see the 3rd (+1) number?
So if someone in Default Trust left me feedback everyone in Default Trust would see that feedback?
2) Does this apply to the first number too 1:?
3) Where can I see other people's trust lists?

Thanks in advance.
