Looking to buy something to replace my current outdated and under powered 5670. Can be either ATI or Nvidia like a 6870 or 560ti, something will at least 1GB ram. Let me know what you have and the price your looking to get. I am located in western Canada, and I would prefer to buy in country to save on shipping.

i've got an 8800gtx?  is that better than a 5670?  it should be 1 tier higher, but http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/video_lookup.php?gpu=GeForce+8800+GTX  says it's slower

5870 IS faster than a 6870. Personally seen it side by side benched to a 7850 and be 1-5 fps short of the 7850 when at a 50mhz oc(tiny). If youd ask me i would take a 120$ 5870 over a 240$ 7850.

well, since you apparently already know what you want, why dont you just state it?  5670 is a crap card.  5870 is better than a 6870, it just takes more power.

I have stated that I want something along the lines of a 6870 or 560ti. I know the 5670 is a crap card hence why I'm looking to upgrade....

If you could find a 5870 2gb... that would be my suggestion as well...

I would not recommend anything less than 2gb vram. With modern games you will see a big improvement, especially if you are gaming at 1080p.

Ebay is allways nice for used cards as you have a 30 day warranty on something used (i.e. ebay allways sides with buyers and makes sellers take anything back within 30 days).

the 5870 is better than the 6870 though, unless you're especially concerned about the 5870s inefficient energy usage  (or maybe about it getting too hot wherever your computer is)

I realize it is better, but usually I see more 6870s being sold on here than 5870s, I will consider a 5870 if someone puts one up. 

Evga 460gtx 768mb, never mined on. $75 shipped? It'll cost me $15 to ship it at least.

Its a dual fan XFX 6870 one. The single fan models seem to retail for $100-$125 on Craigslist.
Compared the average of several.

So going by that, I would look for $125? Do note mine is a dual fan model,
so it would be a better make, and cooler. Its also designed better, heatsinks better, etc.
It runs very cool.

I have an nVidia 560ti that is sitting on a shelf, since I replaced it with 2x 7950's for mining last month, if it's something you're interested in.  Note that it's not worth mining with, you'll only get 70-90mh/s with SHA...

Back in the market for a new card to game with. I would prefer an ATI card as I have retired my miner with an 890fxa-gd70 board to be a gaming rig and I would like to have the option to crossfire if need be in the future. I will consider a more powerful Nvidia card if the price is right  ;)

I just snagged a gigabyte 7970 (still on the way in the mail). I'm not a fan of their triple fan design as well as voltage locked, but it will still perform beautifully as a gaming card. I'll 3dmark test it when it arrives if you want me to.

Sorry for not responding. I don't have the card yet (It's in the mail), so I don't personally know the condition of it. It will probably be in the area of $350 plus shipping (Priority mail or Parcel Select). I'll go through my rounds of testing it and seeing what accessories come with it, if any.

Actually, I can bump that 7970 down to $340 plus ship. I forgot that ebay takes away a big chunk in fees. I can sell it for a little less while still making more than at ebay.
