learnt this from a youtube guy who was poking around tor and accidentally discovered this technique.

It's quite simple the point why tor is used for to mask your identity and for the darknet etcc... the point is you are anonymous.
What if you could mask your identity multiple times a day from the same browser .

that's the concept, ok now

download tor .

go to a website for faucet's the youtube guy told that IT WILL NOT WORK FOR REGISTRATION FAUCETS WHICH DEMAND EMAIL PASSWORD ETC, just for faucet's which demand you to just put the btc address and the captcha and claim.

put your btc address and the captcha claim .

click on the onion on the top left of the browser , change identity do it a multiple times, if you get stuck , do it again and it will work fine .

The real irony is, you are replying to your own topic.
Anyway, I suggest you to stop doing faucet. Because you'll not earn much Bitcoin from it, you'll just wasting your time.

Havn't seen anyone posting a thread without trying it on his own. You're the only dude who first made a thread, tried and saying that it didn't work, that's the real irony  ::)

It seems to me that you are obsessed by faucets...

I think the trick only works for some ISPs. Before I upgraded to fiber-optic type of broadband, I was using ADSL type which was via the telephone line. I found that I can use the trick described!

What I did was that I would change a new address every time and solve the captcha. I even use VB to write a software for me, which helped me to rotate the addresses and fetch the captcha- all I need was to solve the captchas! I even went the extra mile to incorporate OCR- which didn't work very well as the captchas got more and more difficult until I myself can't solve them. For each faucets, it worked for 30-50 addresses. I used three high payout faucets which gave about 100-400 satoshis per captcha....

At the end, the limiting factor was the balances in the faucets and also the tiredness.

Everyday I would solve somewhere between 1000-1500 captchas and it lasted for about a month and I gave up. All I earned was only about 0.1BTC (about $45)!! It did not worth it!

The trick no longer works for me after I upgraded my broadband package.

Find a part time job and you will earn more!

are you calculate how much time you need to earn some satosi from each faucet..?
im Ex faucet member/user. i use some faucet with more than 20account and my earning is very low, i can get higher satoshi from campaign than faucet.

You should at least try it a few more times before creating this thread.
Anyway, this trick will not work for most faucets as they are secured. Most of the TOR IP's are blocked by most of the faucets.
So if you want to try it, it is a waste of time.
