Title: Why is there rate difference?
Post by: btvGainer on May 21, 2016, 10:33:46 PM
At any given point of time, the bitcoin rate of two exchanges are never same. Why is this difference? Where do Indian exchanges get bitcoins from?Do they buy in international market or mine them?

i think i have answer of this question.
bitcoin rates are directly dependent on any person that bow much they need for inr of how much they can paid for 1btc.but its notable bitcoin price can't be changed by one person.
now in any exchange if someone place buy rate 295000inr and sell rate is 28000inr so people will must have to buy in 29500inr and sell in more than 29500.
here we can see that why bitcoin rates are increasing every day because people buy in low rate and sell it to high rate.when low rate volume finished high rate volume will available so now people must have to buy in high rate.
and in other exchange if trader are not active its price will ho down automatically. so this why btc price is different in each exchange.

and not only exchange but any things price of petrol, gold, cotton depends on area and availability.
you can assume any exchange as area where if people are not ready to pay listed rate its rate will down.if trders are ready to pay price will go up.

 ???

This spread is high because there aren't a lot of people trading. As the number of people and number of orders increase, this spread will come down.

so you think buying at 'N'inr and sell it to 'N+1500'inr is high different?
no bro its actually automatic adjusted to those good price in current status of market demand and supply.
and in other words exchange like coinsecure, zebpay, btcxindia are paying to them employees, paying on advertising like signature campaign and banner advertising, paying for their security.and they receives some profit.

so you think buying and selling different should be much lower??

agree with you.but increasing number of people buyers and sellers its affect the traders business.because of few difference between buy and sell prices.

So does it means trading on out of india exchange would be more profitable because of more number of traders?

yes and i also calculated that increasing btc rate day by day is not good for traders or exchangers because mostly buy and sell rate different is maximum 1500inr.
so if we assume btc rate 95k inr in future then exchange or trder will only get 1500inr on selling 95k inr.
this is not fair for traders.

no bro you are wrong.if number of traders is too much, difference between buy and sell will go down.then possibly profit will less.

no,profit for both traders and exchange will go down. if traders sell btc in higher than exchange no one will buy form them.

Since its not regulated by any body it wont be having a standard price across sites. Also it depends upon the model you are using. Like in case of Coinsecure traders decide the prices while in Unocoin they decide it depending upon their risk associated, market volatility and demand.

Yeah, and when volatility is more, we usually see the spread to be more in both models of businesses.
