Well apparently it works and isn't harmful, based on the reviews, but I hadn't heard of a Bitcointalk app before, so you can take my opinion with a grain of salt.

The reviews also seem to come to the consensus that it's a fairly poor app design, so I don't know if you'd even want to use it.

There's no such thing as "official bitcointalk app".

I've used one app ~2 years ago (not sure what is the same one) but it was pretty useless. Using mobile browser was way better.

There isn't any bitcointalk official app till now, the new software of the forum should support better mobile browsing, therefore no app will be made afaik and I wouldn't trust any third party app with my login info of bitcointalk, neither should you.

I was actually looking for a bitcointalk app but using the mobile browser seemed to be good. If that is an official app, then bitcointalk could have advertised it here.

Don't install it, just to make sure you won't install some phishing/password stealing application. Just use a browser to access bitcointalk. It has the same look as the desktop view. The only difference is the display size.

I've used this app before. It's harmless, afaik. But you must still take the necessary precautions, for your bitcoin's sake.

I ever used this app before looks like the app is not harmful. Because i never hear this app scam.

I wouldn't take the risk if you have a high ranked forum account or bitcoins on your phone for sure.

If you are just posting on an alt acount on the go on a phone that will never see bitcoins, I guess it would be ok to use.

Then again, the mobile version of bitcointalk works ok for me, I don't really need an app to replace it at the moment.

I will have some issues with a App that has not been updated in 3 years. If there were any exploits, it would have been reported, but I would still not trust that. Why use a App, if the mobile browser can access the forum, without any problems? In any way, accessing a public forum from your mobile phone kills all your anonymity. ^hmmm^

Well, firstly I'm not aware of any "official" bitcointalk app. Just access it from your phone on a web browser, it doesn't make a difference. You can still load it from your mobile phone.

As people pointed out, this app requires access to your sensitive data. You also have to enter your bitcointalk account details to sign in. So it is likely that this is a phishing or baiting website.

If i'm not mistaking, the new bitcointalk forum (epochtalk) will be mobile friendly... Why risk anything with a bitcointalk app when you can wait untill the new forum comes online (whenever that might be  :) )

Last update was 3 years ago, and there are not so many downloads. I never heard of official bitcointalk app, so, why do you want to take risk, just use bitcointalk browser
Yes its an old application, might people create that application without ask permission and bitcointalk dev not use that application as official android application for bitcointalk forum, and yes we should not take a risk to download that application, and keep aware from phising, dont want to login from anothr site with you bitcointalk account.

Doesn't seem like an 'official' bitcointalk app. I don't think there even is an official one.
As far as what I can see, the app doesn't seem to be harmful but according to some reviews, it's not a good app. Better try to not use it if I were you.
