Title: Power needed for a BitForce Jalapeno by BFL
Post by: hod928 on March 02, 2013, 05:30:25 AM
Hey guys, what kind of computer would you suggest to have to run a Jalapeno by BFL when they are finally released.

Ive been a stalker on the forums for sometime and to the bit coin community. I'm not looking to get into mining to make a profit but to generate some coins each month for personal use.

Thanks

oh wow really? Do you think it would be feasible to invest into one of these small units, and join a pooled mining community just to make a few extra Bitcoins for personal use? When everyone gets there ASCIS will these small unit even make that much of an impact in a pooled mining to even make a few extra bitcoin each month?

There are literally dozens of threads on the viability of these "baby" ASICs once the mining community starts to be flooded with them. Also, if you were to order one today, you probably wouldn't get it till maybe late april, early may, maybe as long as June. BFL hasn't even started shipping yet.
