*NEW BATCH IN 11-2-2017.  I currently have Alaska or British Columbia morels available.*

Each ounce contains a mixture of high quality brown and tan sun dried morels.  These were dried in 2017 and the stems have been removed.  Very good quality!

It takes about half a pound of fresh Morels to make 1 ounce dried.

Ive just had morels for the first time this spring. How would you prepare them since they are dried?

Really easy.

You just need to soak them in water for 30 minutes or over night.  Some people use salt water during the re-hydration process as well.  These will need to be washed anyways before cooking.  The Morels are super clean, but washing them before hand is the best way to avoid a crunch once in a blue moon.

They are sources from Canada from individuals who pick them in the wild and then have them tested by a third party lab for mold and such.

How much for shipping within US, or that's included?

Depends on the size of the order.

I thought I could ship less than 1oz for the cost of a stamp, but it turned out it costed like $3.64 (quarter ounce).

The ounces fit fairly well in the small flat rate boxes and that would cost $6.25.

I'm only charging the actually packaging and shipping costs for these.

So 1 oz per flat rate box, or you could fit maybe 2 or 3 oz in one box?

Ya I can fit a quarter pound (4 ounces) in a small flat rate box.

What exactly can I do with these?

Cook and eat.  They are just a super high quality and good textured mushroom.

Nothing cool or trippy with these.

So I could use these to say make chicken Marsala? But I don't ever make it with an ounce of mushrooms jeez. Any other dishes you can suggest to make with these? I tried googling but I must be googling the wrong stuff

Chicken Marsala + morels would be AMAZING I'm sure.

If this is true then your prices are actually quite good.. I see fresh Morels for sale locally a lot and have friends that pick and sell them.
I have handled dried morels many times but never weighed them dry.. We run a needle and thread through them to hang and dry them..

All you have to do with dry ones is soak em in water just like he says, it is very common practice..

We make spaghetti with morels, sometimes venison.

I think I like them best sliced in half, battered and fried by themselves..

They are best cooked in a fish, egg and vegetable stew using Chinese soy sauce. The stew can either be eaten with pasta, potatoes or rice, most times I prefer rice ;D

Bought some a month or two ago. Soaked in salt water for a few hours, then chopped and sauteed with garlic and red peppers, and used saute mixture to top grilled new york strip steaks with some butter on top. Tres bien  :)

Morels are really hard to find and if you found them in a store... they are going to be a MUCH higher price than this.  Morels are damn near impossible to farm and the entire industry is pickers (which I like supporting as well.)

I've seen Morels for sale in a small handful of places.  I don't care for Whole Foods morel quality and they are over $400 per pound... the San Francisco ferry building has a NICE mushroom outlet that sells really good quality shit (expensive but worth it.)

My mushrooms are as good or better than the ferry building.

These are the best mushroom in the world eating wise in my opinion.  I like Morels a lot more than Truffles and such.

Morels go amazing with steak and seafood because the texture of the mushroom is just... perfect.

I try to only sell shit I don't mind getting stuck with.  We eat Morels around once every two weeks at my house (sometimes more...)

Tonight, we had a nice chicken with sauce and well-salted garlic morels on the side (using a locally distributed basil infused olive oil.)

I normally hate the texture of mushrooms, but after doing a little bit of research it looks like morels are closer to truffles than mushrooms and I'm always willing to give something a try. Earlier in the thread it read as though shipping prices were a bit of a concern for smaller orders. I am interested in a sample if you are still offering that as an option; this would give me a chance to taste them and see if I want to buy a few ounces for steaks and Marsala.

As long as you hook me up with some tips on how to prepare them, maybe even some recipes I would probably be a repeat customer unless I dislike their taste. I'm optimistic though!

Morels are much meatier than any other mushroom that I can think of off the top of my head.

USA Shipping, yes indeed. I'd probably eat these with a Breakfast or Dinner, most likely a dinner, but I wouldn't doubt they'd be killer in an omelet or something. I was thinking steak would be a nice dinner for them to pair with, but please give me some suggestions. I did a little reading that said they are good to crumble over dishes while dry, and a plethora of people that cover it in flour and fry them. I hadn't even heard of these before I came across your thread a few minutes ago.

I was very confused as to what would make you send such a thing for free, but that was an absurd assumption for me to have made. No rush, I kept you waiting almost a week or so while I counted my pennies for morels; I don't expect same-day delivery. I know the feeling of being out in the boonies, trust me.
