It's scary stuff. That's why my profile has nothing at all on it, and is only used for its chat feature.

That is why my page is completely open and my business page linked to my personal page. I want people to see who I am and what I do and to know exactly where to find me if you ever really need to. There is a lack of trust in the btc community transparency is the cure for that.  :)

Jason Shea had scammed me 1000 CA by email money transfer.  I have already contacted my bank and they are investigating the charge.  The police have been contacted as well.  A detective is already assigned.  His name is Mr.Goth and I am sure Mr.Shea will be speaking with him at some point.

This could have been easily avoided.  No attempts to refund any members have been noticed - complete SCAMMER - reported!

See I just dont understand how someone could be so stupid as to let you have their personal facebook page and then screw you out of money, This guy is nuts, 6000 usd and he has just endangered his babies mom and his friends and family and his reputation and himself. Some one could put a full page ad in his local paper saying he was a thief, they could pay someone to go to his house and do basically anything, they can send letters to all of their friends and family exposing the fraud to all the important people in their lives.

This numbers is working - although the lady who picked up said Stephanie does not work there.  There are other first choice in the area she said and mentioned she may work there.  We need to pull more info on stephanie and relatives.  #bitcoin-police should get more involved here.  This guy thinks he has made off big time with 10k in funds.   He is mistaken.

Guilty by association, I dont feel sorry for her at all. I have found that people are almost always right where they belong, In other words bird of a feather flock together.....for all we know she is the one who put him up to it.

That's not right at all. The way Bitcoin works she could, and very likely, has no idea. Mixed with any legitimate gains he may have had she could easily be convinced he's just doing a good job, especially with a baby on the way that kind of wishful thinking would take over quickly.

I am all for getting a scammer, and BCB you do great work, but don't be mob rule turning the tides against innocent people caught up with a scammer. Now, however, if after contacted she is okay with him scamming or admits involvement fry her.

If she didnt know she does now. If people where coming to my facebook page and posting to my friends and family that I was a scammer I would be longing on and setting people straight, If people where calling my employer and telling them I was a thief I would be calling back! ... She knows. 

He's going to regret what he did to this community. Communities like this are tight I feel bad for her, especially after she just had a baby with the guy

I personally still wouldn't click on the post because I feel that I already know how to spot a scammer. I would how ever click on a link of a list of scammers as a cross reference before trading with new users.

You're certainly welcome to start your own list. My list was intended as a proactive reference for people to use to hopefully avoid being scammed. And as such, it contains people who might not yet be labeled with the "Scammer" tag, but their behavior might match that of people whose actions might not be completely above board.

It seems his friends/family are reading these posts. I have IP image loggers embedded in some posts, and the majority of the IPs come from near his location and the logs pick them up shortly after they were messaged.

They have yet to respond to any communications.

Good update! maybe one of his family members will CARE enough about him to advise him the logical way out of this is to pay people back..... that's all we are asking... well I kind of want some interest back now as well considering he has had my hard earned money in his unworthy pockets for a few days now... ill ask 2% per day on my items borrowed, that's all.  I think that is a fair deal.

An update.
Today CIBC called and said Jason Shea's bank account has been blocked and they are doing investigation.

I have yet to hear from my bank... however detective Goth called me this AM and mentioned he is getting the Dieppe local police dept involved - one step forward...

Paypal has cancelled reversal.  They are now investigating him for internet Fraud and will be turning his Paypal info over to the appropriate authorities.

My bank called and said they have contacted the receiving bank and they are doing their own investigation - as for returning the funds to me, they say they wont because I authorized the transaction.  However, they mentioned there is possibility to get the funds back with the other banks cooperation. (Jason Sheas bank)

I hope to hell that other bank has locked the shit out of his account now that CIBC and RBC have called his bank.

Good News: Jay Sheas bank is investigating him - likely his account is froze.
Bad News: My never see the money again from RBC and may have to take this legal route to see money back - which I will do. Dont worry.

Go to google.

type in "Jason Shea"

click on page 2 or 3 of the results.

then click "Jason Shea aka CardinalG - Internet scammer. - Bitcoin Forum"

see if we can get this scammer thread closer to the top of the search rank.

no update-  he got the money - banks and cops are useless - scammer wins yet again.  Hopefully Karma hits him with a truck at some point.
