A lot of threads exist already on price speculation whether or not the price will go up.

However, I couldn't find any information about the approx. date the halving will occur. Is there a reliable estimate?

I am also not sure when the halving is going to happen but I have heard that it is going to happen soon, this month or the next month is when it has to happen.
With the halving people can now invest more money in those Bitcoins.

halving actually could happen at any time, and I guess nobody knows about it. and although no one knows, I guess they will not divulge the information, because it would make them lose

Halving will come roughly around first/second week of July when the 420,00th block is mined. Expect a rise on value but don't expect something ridiculous like the price going $1000 because it's not impossible but it's not entirely true as well.

I would have expected a lot more hype surrounding this event or some major coverage from some of the bigger Bitcoin sites... but it's been quite. The supposed Chine capital flight via Bitcoin has

That's a very cool site. I'm more interested in this halving than the previous one. It cuts inflation to 4% which is certainly a far more palatable amount of dilution. Not so sure there'll be much price action though.

yes that was common site that posting on this forum,but honestly now i got different design,its more cool and have better explanation about bitcoin halving,and about the halving,i just notice that bitcoin price will no suddenly going rise until $1000 in bitcoin halving,might need a month or more to reach it.

When blockcount will reach 42000 than halving will happen, i think we all waiting for it. How much are you holding right now guys?

Halving will increase the cost of mining, which in term will jack up the price.
I am thinking, like many others here, the price will at least double from 400.

Halving the exact date of the award for the unit can not be determined, but it is now expected that this will happen July 10, 2016, plus or minus a few days. Technically, this is only the first of a long series of "Halving" of what will happen and continue approximately every four years.

The bitcoin halving will happen in the month of july where the block rewards will be 12.5 from 25 and the stock of bitcoin will be fewer so there's a possibility that the amount of bitcoin will skyrocket just what happened before. So if i were you buy bitcoins as many as you can so that you can double your amount of money by just waiting until july.

Nope.  When the halving happens, the cost to continue operating your mining equipment will stay exactly the same.  You'll earn nearly half as much revenue from the equipment, but it won't cost any more to run it.


Or cause it to collapse, or cause it to stay exactly where it already is at that time since everyone already knows that the halving is going to happen and will have already prepared for it.

It shouldn't shift by more than a few hours now.  It will almost certainly happen either late on July 10 (UTC) or early on July 11 (UTC).

And a possibility that it will crash to the ground, and a possibility that it will stay stable, and a chance that it will fluctuate both up and down.


Or sell all that you have, so you can get something for them before they become worthless, or just hang on to what you've got if that's all you can afford, or buy what you can afford to risk losing.

It won't be surprised if people know when halving comes, but I see a few websites post countdown of halving.

its really easy to google this and find out, actually there is a really good countdown clock that you can watch.......

we can't predict halving time 100% correct as it depends on miners and their miners speed, if there are many miners halving will come faster, if there aren't many miners then halving won't come soon

but if miners amount won't change now, halving will happen in July, probably middle of July like 12th or 13th day of it, because 2012 halving happend same day

The 2012 halving happened in late November.

We'd have to have nearly 6% of the global hash power removed from the network every 2 weeks for the halving to happen on July 13. That would be nearly 17% of the current global hash power removed from the network in the next 37 days! The closer we get to the halving, the more hash power you'd have to remove (or add) to significantly change the time that it happens.

They are saying it would happen around the month of July but if this is really the truth, I honestly do not know this.

It will happen without any doubts in the month of july its just that we need to wait till its really there, there is no exact date today and I also do not think there will be any.
its just July and it will happen in that month for sure.
