I would have to do a lot of onerous calculations to get the exact number, but at $500 I am sure than I am finally in the green, ahead on my BTC investment.  The range would be $480 - $500, I do know that.

I started buying after the peak when BTC was in the $700s, and bought fairly steadily all the way down.

Since I am on a visit to Peru now, I cannot (easily) spend them, so maybe when I am back in the USA I can buy a tiny amount of gold.  

Or maybe not!  With "The Halving" coming up, maybe I should just sit back and watch the show...

Glad to hear that, I bought 1.5 BTC for 510$ but now its 700$ means 200$+ profit nice.

I bought at $250 last year and today its already $500 so my investment has been doubled now, and I also sold 0.5 btc today and grabbed the profits.

Really? We touched $500 last year why didn't sold that time? Almost a year now back when the price is $250 I guess.

You can have much more earnings if you sold that day then start accumulating at below $400 during the first quarter of the year.

That's why I really not preferred not to hold long. It will just wasted some supposed profits.

It's around $500 just for now but it could and it will go down in next few days only because people are selling to profit.

I bought a little above $500 a few years a go and I don't think I'm in the green yet.  It is definitely positive news to see the price going up.  Don't be surprised to see it come back down some though.

I don't get the point of buying gold. Keep your precious bitcoins, do not exchange them against something else. Silver might be a good idea, but you'll need to wait longer to profit from it. Bitcoin is thus the best option.

i also bought at $250 and then at $400, those were nice buy in i think, easy money, now i only hope it's not only a pump and dump that return to $400, but remain there, so maybe we can go to 800 after the halving, im confident

If you forget to average your buying when bitcoin prices was struck around $220 price level after that around $380 to $440 price levels.
This must be one of the reason we must keep on buying bitcoins whenever we get some lower prices. That will definitely help us to get a better average buying price.

My average is approximately €405.13

although i might have missed a few trades that i didn't track

In reality is also have earned some bitcoin with faucets, but I also wasted a lot of fiat and bitcoin on getting scammed so I'll just take this as an approximate average.

€405.13 is about $450.32 so i'm very much in the green right now.



The cheapest coin I ever bought was exactly 1 bitcoin for €193.95

The most expensive coin i ever sold was half a coin at €707

Wtf,its already 523 as of now,i cant imagine how big is the profit of those who bought btc when it was at 440.

I bought mine at 430 $ and it's only 42 days to go before bitcoin block reward is halving and I'm pretty sure the price will increase when that happens!  :) :)

i bought mine 450$ dollars, i'm expecting it to rise more, and rise more after halving stage. then that's my que to sell my btc and rebuy in a lower price.if i'm gonna sell my btc now i will profit 87$ , but need to wait more

I missed this activity actually since price haven't move much yet in the past weeks which the sudden pump only reached $470+.

Unfortunately I'm not in the green yet, I bought when BTC was high and sold when BTC was low last year  :D (needed the cash). But I'm keeping my fingers crossed, it doesn't look like BTC is ready to slow down yet, we were up at $520 on Bitstamp a couple of hours ago. Who knows how high this pump will take us  :)

This isn't a bubble but rather a "bubb". Yes with no "le". I'ts an opportunity so better make some nice move before it "ends".

If you will look at the 4h monitoring in today's price, price dips at least $10-$15 but then again in just minutes it will regain.

Hopefully this is the "resistance" we are waiting.

i think when the price reach 1200 again, everyone who did not sold below the last big pump will have a chance to regain all his investment, just all strong for now, for me it was already green after the pump from 230, now i have double of my money lol

Well, gold has always been good to me. I think it'll continue to be a good store of value as a commodity, at least into the near, and mid term future. But bitcoin will definitely serve the same purpose as well.

Especially with the upcoming halving, should always hold. I am in the green now too, it's a great feeling and it's gunna get better :)

which bubble are you talking about?

any rise is not a bubble, a bubble means a sudden rise without any logic (which is also called pump) and it doesn't have any good buy support so it falls.

this small rise is natural rise.

Congratulation to you mate, we are on the same side, let's not cash it out all our investment as the price will still continue, we can still make a huge profit by this crazy movements of bitcoin price, I am sure we are all happy now.

I have been buying at $440 and below since April and my oh my, has it risen in such a quick fashion. I have yet to experience being in the red, although my main concern is not being able to come up with more funds so I could have bought more when the price idled between $440 and $450 for some time. I wouldn't complain if it pulls back a bit, so a window of opportunity to buy opens up again.

First it have to reach that high value and that is hard also because you have to know that there will be more people that is going to have some Bitcoin because the value of the Bitcoin will also be more higher.
And that is nice but it can takes a long time when it will reach that high value but I will be for sure that it will reach it in the end of the year.

Price will be much higher at the end of the year as halving is also coming which will show us some best price of bitcoin and we will also see many new investors investing their money into it.

That is good that you have doubled your money, this is what Bitcoin is for to make money. I would like the price to move up even more so I have the chance to make even more money.

Im still not selling my bitcoin even if it had a value of 648$ now. Ill hold them until it reach 700$ then sell them, im still in the green though even if it didnt reach my goal to sell  ;D

I think selling today is not a good idea, you could have hold it a little longer to enjoy more profit as the price is steadily going up. You only sell if there is an emergency and something that you need to pay a thing or services.

I guess the price will go up more then we can expect. With the halving price set in now the Chinese seems to be buying bitcoins.. like a lot of bitcoins.
This will probably continue for at least a month.

Price is moving up like a crazy, but I am very much satisfied with current price too, rather then holding too long I would prefer to sell some coins at this stage.

Things have changed like crazy in the last 25 days. The price went up to $790, now it comes down to $650.

Just watch and see in the next 48 hours where the price will take us.

The users that had patiente to hold and wait from the last year has made amazing results, 200% income or even more those people achieved this year, and maybe they can cross those since price should reajust again after the hit that halving will bring to the miners.

We will find out, but whatever the outcome I would only be happy if the price will increase even a bit or will be stable with the current price, just don't worry because there is always still time to buy and sell your coins, price will eventually get high.

Just beware about halving,im pretty we will see the drop freshly after it cause ppl will dump coins,but in 2-3 days we will get rise of btc for sure.

OP - Actually I did not understand itself the relevance of this thread. If you are in green so what does others have to do. There are people who who would say 300$ means he is in green, 350, 375,400,425,450,600,630 etc. So shall everyone create a separate thread for this?

Surely at this moment when bitcoin is around 700$ plus your bitcoins have increased its monetary value. When you said you are in the green at 500$ what could be the right color to associate with 700$. Just kidding, but keeping your bitcoins in your wallet when you are preparing for halving is sure to give you large income. The sudden surge was last month and you  who hoard them in your wallet can convert it to cash already since the price has gotten bigger.

yeah halving is a great tool for every bitcoin trader,we can get pretty good
profit out of it even we are patient,and the good trader is always patient haha

the times before the block halving have been very profitable to most smart people. right now the price will most likely try to find a good level to settle at. but that also depends on whether or not we will see a massive dump directly after the halving. i think there will indeed be a dump.

You need need to be patient. I think the bitcoin price will be more than $1000 by the end of this year.

I agree with that. I think the price of the bitcoin could be tween $850 to $1000 by the end of December.

I really love this kind of optimistic previsions  ;D Some other topics are full of people expecting bitcoin to reach 1000$, 2000$ or even 5000$ by now. Be patient guys, slow increase is also a good sign for stability  :D

A lot of people have incredibly optimistic views, and everyone is still looking for the get-rich-quick of the Bitcoin of 2012/2013. The market not rushing ahead is the best thing that could happen because it prevents bubbles, and looking at the market it looks like we're just coming out of a downturn caused by a bubble.

Well we are not the same thoughts if what will be the price of bitcoin but i have my own speculation this is just my speculation base in demand and supply.. the price can be possible these following months are 700 value to 900 value..

im also in profit right now, i managed to make a lot of money out of the price as i bought at about 300 dollars

this year was turned into profit for many traders and users nit due to halving but something else but we have seen the price reached upto 600$ and now again started falling

Which funds are you talking about? With all due respect Ethereum is falling now. It's not a big fall but it's a fall anyway. And I'm talking about ETH / BTC relation, so Bitcoin is in a better position now.

The trading volume in the Poloniex for the Ethereum ETH + ETC is more than 130,000 bitcoin. It is large.

yeah, even though i am in profit right now too im still holding all of my bitcoins right now in order to make some good money in the future when price grows more

though they are moving into ethereum only for a small period of time, pretty soon all the volume will come back and i will be able to trade bitcoins again and make profit

I think now is a best time for them to come back to bitcoin, the price of bitcoin is much lower and if they buy now then the value will start to increase and they can earn a bigger amount within a few days, ethereum is a not a reliable currency and it is sure once again it will loot all of its users with another attack on it.

Yes, stories from different people cannot be the basis for the price increase. Let us just trust our instinct and do what we think is best.

We have listened to stories that bitcoins price will not go down, but many are shocked when it fell down recently.

But let's just trust our instinct bitcoins is volatile if it goes down it will still go up.

I think th e$550 will be recent trading bottom if there is no further big bad news. It is a good price to collect.

I hope so that the price won't go down more instead i think the present price will stay strong in this point.

The hacker stay holds the hacked coins. But he is going to distribute up to 1000 bitcoin to lucky ones.

I would be in the green right now but cryptsy stole a big chunk of what I had. I don't know if I will every recover completely, but I'm trying to accumulate as much as I can before the price goes up again.

I am sorry to hear that. I have lost some in the Mintpal and Cryptorush and also Cryptsy, although not large amount.

Cryptsy expects to repay losers in the long run, although people will have to take a discounted value of their assets now. This is better than getting Goxed. You at least have some hope for the future.

There is no news about Cryptsy returning the investor's money. Where did you hear that it will return the money?

Too soon to be talking about this price as it is on the rise now. So this is just another fantasy for the ones who held for a solid year when it was half that amount.

Well it looks like OP is in the SUPER GREEN. At the time he wrote this the price of bitcoin is around $500, I think. Now the price is doubled. If OP still has those bitcoins, then he is really rich now. Maybe he should sell all his bitcoins when the price hit $1,000. That would totally put him in the green.

Do not watch the show for longer time otherwise you may miss the train. It will be good if you sell that at right time or you may miss the right high price yo sell your Bitcoin.

Exactly, many people buy and hold bitcoin and think that the price will keep getting higher and higher and they can wait and get more of it, at some point you have to sell because if you don’t and get greedy you might miss the train just like you said, the wise thing is to have an objective a certain point where you will sell.

every man for himself probably already decided at what price it will sell your Bitcoins. Someone is enough and $ 20 profit, while others want more. But still you have to be careful not to miss the moment when the sale is very beneficial

I have some friends who are same like me working with bitcoin and I don't know a one who would be glad to have 20$ Profit. We are all waiting to our basic investment get doubled as minimum.

I think we will never see again such price for bitcoin (400-500$). Bitcoin is showing high temps of grow and today it crossed 1000$ per coin. Even in the case of new hacking attack it will be hat to see bitcoin on same low level as it happend this summer. I regret I didn't buy at least one bitcoin that time.
