Title: Getting Started and adding to my website
Post by: Ohana Barter on June 11, 2011, 04:02:53 AM
Aloha- I am sure my questions will sound very stupid, but I need some help. I am hoping this site can get me pointed in the right direction. Four weeks ago I started a Barter and Trade Exchange in Hawaii-Four days ago I hear about Bitcoins.

My plan was to create barter dollars and have members trade between members.  I am charging a 10% US dollar transaction fee on the buy side.  The seller must collect my printed Barter Check from the Buyer along with my 10% fee in order for the Sellers credits to get posted. In addition, there will be a classified section, similar to Craigslist on the site where members can post personal or business items they want to sell for barter dollars. .  Here are my questions.

#1) At the very minimum I would like to accept Bitcoins as a form of payment.  I have no idea how to start, I downloaded the software-when it opens everything is Greek to me.  I do not know how to add to my barter website.

#2) I need a way for 99% of my transactions to be done on line.  I want to collect and transfer cleared trade dollars to the proper accounts as a transaction happens.  It seems like there would be a pending status of some sort until my company is paid the 10% from the buy side and the US funds have cleared.  It would be ideal not to have the seller bother with collecting as done currently.  My idea is somehow the US 10% house fee is collected via PayPal.  My website designer is using Word Press. Does Bitcoins license out there software or a form of, :-X for me to get what I need?  Does anyone know of another plugin that I may use to accomplish my needs?  Money is tight.  Your time and help is greatly appreciated!  Mahalo!
