Title: [WTB] 3 Bitcoins
Post by: secretcircus on March 04, 2013, 08:23:39 PM
Hi everyone, I'm slightly new to posting on here but please don't let that defer you. I'm looking to by 3 BTC, as the thread title suggests.  I would have to to a transaction via paypal. From what I have read on here, many people are weary to do paypal and I understand that. I am an etsy seller who often uses my paypal account so I would not do anything to scam anyone/get in trouble with paypal because in addition to being an awesome person (lol) I need that account. I have successfully used paypal to purchase bitcoins a few times and am very appreciative of those who followed through sending the coins after I had sent my money. I go to college in a small town (well my idea of a small town!) and I don't have access to the transportation to send money through a bank, Walmart, etc. Please post or PM me if you're interested in helping me out  :)

Paypal is like the black plague around here lol. Can you get Moneypaks or will you completely disregard my post?

is that something I can purchase online? In my experience I had to go to a CVS to buy a monkeypak. I understand the hesitation with paypal but I'm not allowed to have my car at school and I just don't have the time or energy to take a 2 hour roundtrip just to deposit money.

However, the main reason I did not respond is because 150 seems like a bit of a crazy markup when BC are only ~$38

BTC are ~$40. They were only ~$38 for a few minutes.  Don't expect to get an exchange price unless you go through all the hassle and delays involved with using an exchange.

However, you may be able to do better than 50$ each on localbitcoins.com, have you checked it?

i ended up making a trade with user Delicieuxz. Just wanted to post that this person is extremely quick and a great person to make a sale with, and even though it may not mean a lot with my low post count, i definitely recommend them to anyone!

I accidentally clicked the Confirm button twice while sending 2 Btc to secretcircus, resulting in 4 total Btc being sent. I'm just waiting for the extra 2 Btc to be returned to my wallet, and then I'll give proper feedback.

edit: Ok, the 2 Btc has been returned. It was a bit of time in waiting, but secretcircus showed two screenshots that the transfer was being process, though still unconfirmed, and even offered to pay for them if nothing showed up soon. In the end, they did show up, so kudos for their response. Seems like a trustworthy trader!
