Title: Not getting the right amount of WAVES?
Post by: ccs5t on May 30, 2016, 05:09:27 PM
I sent 5.8 btc to the ICO and I only have 26837 waves. That seems less than I should have gotten. Is something up?

I don't know the actual ICO price, but if it is bigger than 20 000 satoshis/WAVES, then no, the count is good.

It seems I got less each time I sent BTC in.

Yeah, that's the principle. You get the amount of WAVES you get for each BTC by making the total nulber of coins/the numbers of BTC invested. The more BTC are sent, the less per BTC you get !

Ok I'll do the math for you
85000000 / (all invested BTC in ico)= ( that's your ammount waves per btc)

Wait is that really it? So you get less per BTC the longer the ICO goes on?

it appears to be more than 20K satoshi per waves actually. so thats just about it. you bought too late that you didn't take advantage when they still offer the 20% bonus.
its not final yet, it will gradually decrease still as theres still time for investors to buy waves. wait awhile.

You wouldn't have to wonder how it goes if you just invest and go to their official thread which is this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1387944.0
you can invest just the very little btc you have if you still have doubts.

I really wonder how Waves will go

the more btc invested, the less waves you get since there's only a fixed amount

Have no fear.  :) This is expected.

Your total # waves is divided by the amount of BTC raised during ICO. More BTC invested, less waves per btc. Each wave is worth more btc. Your # of waves will keep decreasing until ICO period is over.

This is simple to those who don't understand, the more BTC invested on WAVES while the amount gets lower it adds more value to your WAVES.

You are actually over your investment buy 1 btc

it's really funny to see,
"investors" in new technologies based on math that cannot even calculate their assets value or start a linux vps (see lisk) and then come crying in masses on this forums, what are you even doing here!?

It's impressive to see so much noobs not even understanding what they invest in, not even understanding the concept of 100 million coins divided by the numbers of btc, and actually wondering why their numbers of coins goes down.

"Stupid is as stupid does".
