but buying this pre-order is very risky.. not shipping till june 12th... only 1 month before the halving.. currently it will make 540$ for the first month and 220$ after.. at 2100$ thats 7 months roi with no power factored in. since these things are pretty powerful, 14th.. its certain the diff will increase each adjustment.. possibly 10%+ plus we all know that batch 2 or 3 will be 1/3 of the price ;) Title: Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Post by: cloudnthings on May 31, 2016, 10:03:15 PM How is the cost of the miner determined?

Sure it produces 3.5x the TH as the S&, at nearly the same consumption, but it's also 4.25x the initial cost. and that's assuming the S7 doesnt go on a fire sale, plus the cost of used ones is dropping. I'm tempted. But I need to know the noise level, I'd buy one as a basement dehumidifier, maybe.
