Title: Raffle for bigger items? Post by: Blazed on May 31, 2016, 04:08:04 PM Seems like raffles are all the rage these days. Is anyone interested in a raffle for an expensive coin? Would people want tickets for something like a Cas 10BTC or a Cas 1BTC?

The chances of winning are already 1/16 (if you use the simple blockhash method), so there is a big chance I would just lose over $250, which is a big no-go for me. I like small raffles, because the ticket prices are low as well.

Maybe more than 16 tickets, keep the cost down but the prize value high (obviously decreasing the chance of winning per ticket) Low unit value ticket opens it up to more likely participants, without ruling out the bigger hands People can buy multiple tickets if they want a larger stake / better chance Title: Re: Raffle for bigger items? 0.5 BTC will be pretty high to start with. Or you can try adding some other prizes for second and third place. |
