Title: laptop external graphics card for mining Post by: ultimateteam4 on March 06, 2013, 12:57:37 AM hey, i have been searching trying to find some info on how to setup an external graphics card to my laptop so i can mine decently..
Everything that i have found have been rather confusing and not so helpful..does anyone know how can i setup one? i know it might cost a lot but i prefer connecting an external card then getting a desktop.. i am interested into making an amd radeon to an external card for my laptop..if you have any suggestions for a card that would be suitable as external please recommend.. My advice would be not to do this and get an ASIC when they come out, not only will you have to spend a bit on this kind of setup, the upcoming ASIC's will make all GPU mining unprofitable. I have 4 pre-ordered, and everytime I mine a little extra, after paying off my costs and EC2 bill, I pre-order another one. But, if you can afford a larger ASIC right out of the gate, get it if you're serious about mining. I read in forums that it can take up to 5 months. :o No other asic miners apart from avalon and bfl? Why is there nothing for europe! :'( :'(
