StarkaCoin is a new altcoin that I have made and I know a lot of you don't like the idea of new altcoins because there are so many of them out there but mine is unique in the sense that its use is directed towards being a currency for a Minecraft server but can of course be used for other things as well. We do NOT have a plugin for in-game use of the altcoin yet but we are looking for someone who may know how to make one and if you may know how to make a Minecraft plugin for altcoin use then please send me a PM. I have listed the altcoin information and the Minecraft server information below. Thank you all for reading.

Also as you can see the coin has a low total coin supply of only 1.6 million and a low premine of only 2% and the premine is meant to help get the coin going financially by hopefully being able to sell some of it to help pay for hosting of the coin and hosting for the Minecraft server and other costs that may come up.

Once you download the wallet you need to Create the file %appdata%/StarkaCoin/StarkaCoin.conf with the following content: addnode=95.211.57.108


and to mine go to Help then click Debug Window and That is the console where you will execute all commands. Type this command to start mining your first block:

setgenerate true -1
If you want to use a specific number of CPU cores, instead of -1, type the number of cores

Listen the only reason I made this is because there are no altcoins right now for Minecraft that are active. So this is different then just any altcoin because its going to be used on Minecraft servers. So in my opinion this is not a "shitcoin" because it actually serves a purpose unlike most other altcoins that don't have a purpose and there just there.

Hi, I don't know why you cant connect because I can. Are you sure you typed in the information right? And also yes I know that in fact I have played it for the past year but that's for Bitcoin and im talking about an Altcoin that's dedicated just for minecraft.

Also I am working with a person who owns a mining pool to see if they can put StarkaCoin on their pool.

I just saw that my link was removed because it's suspicious. How am I suppose to let people download my wallet if it says it's suspicious?

Put a Link to the source of the wallet - this way the wallet could be audited and it's easy for a poolowner to add it to the pool.

I don't exactly understand your question but if your asking if you mine from the wallet then yes you do mine from the wallet. And right now the difficulty is very low so mining a block doesn't take much time at all literally 5 to 10 minutes and that's just with CPU.

Sorry and your right I didn't I paid a person to make it for me. I do not know much about making altcoins but I love the idea of it and I have been into bitcoin and altcoins for a couple of years now. And please don't give me criticism for not making it myself because like I said I don't know how but I really wanted to start one mainly because I saw that there was no altcoins for Minecraft but if there were other altcoins specifically for minecraft then I would not of made this altcoin because there would have been a need to. But anyways I will upload it to github and I will post the link to it as soon as its done.

Any reason why SHA256? I would have thought an ASIC resistant algo for POW would make more sense for a Minecraft coin.

I just created a poll to find out if anyone has downloaded the wallet or if anyone will download the wallet so please submit your answer on the poll so I know if anyone is even interested in this. Also I am having difficulty with my gaming computer so I wont be able to get on the minecraft server right now and also if you do get on it the server is not completely done yet and it has a box on the side of the screen that says Doge and I just want to let you all know that the box was created as test for setting up Dogecoin on the server but that is no longer being used since we are using StarkaCoin now. I just haven't had the chance to take it off because of my gaming computer not working so please be patient while I work through that issue. Also if anyone knows how to make a minecraft plugin so that StarkaCoin can be used on the server please let me know. Thank you.

Can someone please tell me where I can go to put my wallets download because I just noticed that on dropbox it says its unavailable because of to much traffic which I do not understand and github says the wallet is to big of a file to show when I go to the files link. So I don't know of any other way to let people download the wallet.

Okay I believe I might have figured out what needs to be done. When you go into github to download the wallet you need to click on "view raw" where it says "(Sorry about that, but we can’t show files that are this big right now.)" and it should download the wallet when you click on view raw. I will keep everyone updated as things move along but as far as the minecraft goes we are sort of stalled because I don't know how to make a minecraft plugin for altcoins and I do know someone but he is not answering my Skype messages so I guess he is either busy, doesn't see the messages, not online, or just ignoring me. So if anyone on here knows how to make one please contact me. Also I have not been able to get on the server to fix other things because my gaming computer is messing up whenever I try to get on it for some reason and I have limited data so once I am able to get back on it wont be for long until later this month when the data plan rolls over. I am very sorry about this and I hope you guys will stay with me and are patient enough until I can get this all worked out. And remember if you know how to make a minecraft plugin for altcoins please contact me or even if you know where I can go to find someone who can do it please let me know. Thank you.

Well either way I plan on making StarkaCoin like any other altcoin so its not just based on Minecraft. That's just an added bonus to give itself a unique standing to stand out from the rest but its not depending on that though. So if for whatever reason we cant get the minecraft part working its still going to be used just not with minecraft of course. But then again until a plugin can be made players can still just manually go into their wallets and send the StarkaCoin through there but the idea was to allow players to deposit there StarkaCoin into the server and then do the transactions in-game instead of having to do it directly through the wallets each time.

for me , you are too complicated to what you want and do not rule out the coins will fall , for example facilie coin ( FCN ) several times update and wallet too long to open end is not comfortable to wear , lathaan coin ( LTH ) send and receive coins for too long to take two days also several times fixes and updates , all coin prices are not good too . My advice go to the pool of mining and exchanges buy sell and done , you're rich and we all rich .

I have just contacted bleutrade, poloniex, and Bittrex but the email I sent to Bittrex didn't go through and it said "//support wasn't found at bittrex.com." so I don't know how to get through to them to see if they will add the coin. Does anyone have any suggestions on any other exchanges that would be willing to add StarkaCoin to it?

Just curious why you are trying to get on exchanges when you have no plugin nor even the starts of a plugin. Trap coin is already working on a plugin for minecraft so not sure why you think yours is currently worthy of selling.

Hi, I just want to let everyone know that my internet data plan is almost out of GBs so I wont be on until like the 20th of this month since that's when it rolls over. So please hold your questions until then. Thank you for understanding. Also since I have to pay a hosting fee for the nodes to keep the coin running it might go down this month but I will pay the fee once the internet data plan rolls over and I can get back on.

Hi, I am able to get back online but only for a few days since I am at a hotel with free Wi-Fi. I am available to answer any questions now. Also yes I read about the other coin for Minecraft just recently and I had no idea about it at the time of creating StarkaCoin. I have contacted the developer of the other coin and we are from my understanding going to work together to help build up both of our coins.

Also I just want to let you guys know that StarkaCoin will be used for four different things. One will be of course Minecraft. The second will be for my micronation but I know a lot of you may not know what a Micronation is and I don't know how to explain it besides its like a startup country that is not an official country but is trying to become one. And StarkaCoin will be used as the currency for the Micronation. Also the third thing will be for use like Bitcoin where it's universal and people exchange things for StarkaCoin like Bitcoin and other Altcoins. And the fourth thing is for a new MMORPG that I own the rights to and I will be hopefully putting it out there to be played soon. I actually bought it from a person and if you would like to look it up it's called Cubicverse. And there should be pictures and stuff online about it and the website is currently down but I hope to get that back up in the next few days if possible. I think the dev is trying his best. he seems to be upfront and honest. We just need to wait for the plugin to be done.

Yes I would like to get it on an exchange and I as thinking about trying Cryptopia but you have to get votes for it and I don't know how many votes StarkaCoin would get just yet.

need to setup a node.

in conf

then give us the ip of the node so we can

or

(0.0.0.0 of course replaced with node ip address)

The node is 95.211.57.108 but I don't know if that's the problem because it's already setup on my computer and I get a connection its just not syncing all of the way but it does part of the way at times. But I ont know about everyone else though.

gets stuck at block 121 then no connection. maybe an av thinking your getting ddos'd?

Same with me block 121 and it gets stuck. And I  don't know why anyone would ddos me.

didnt mean someone was ddos'n you. just meant maybe your av is seeing the connections for the node as ddos attempts.

I don't know much but I do know it's like when they send a bunch of information through a system and over loads it at least that's what I have been told about it but I'm not for sure.

I contacted the person who made StarkaCoin for me and he said that the reason the wallet won't sync is because people have to keep mining to keep the wallet synced but since the difficulty went up so high so fast it won't sync because it will be to hard to mine right now.

I guess we just need to let the difficulty go back down.

Okay I have good news. I just looked at my wallet and it just synced all of the way so I am guessing that it has done the same for everyone else. So please let me know if your wallet is still not syncing. Thank you.

Also I would like to know if I should make an exchange thread where people that want to buy and sell StarkaCoin can do so by making a comment under the thread and I will also put it up on the main exchange post for the buy and sell orders when ever I see someone has commented their buy or sell order.  And I will also do an escrow service if needed. But this is just until we can get it on an exchange. I will be making a poll with a yes or no answer on whether I should make the thread or not. Once the poll is over I will look at the results and if I get a majority that say yes then I will make it and if not then I will wait a little longer and then make another poll and I will keep doing it until either the vote comes out yes or StarkaCoin is accepted onto an exchange.

Also windows wallet stucks at block 172.

There won't be any pool before these errors fixed.

Hi, I am looking into the idea of putting part or all of the premine up for sale to help buy an island that I would like to buy to start up the Micronation into hopefully a semi independent nation and that I believe would help the price of StarkaCoin go up because it would be a currency for the nation which would in my opinion make people want to invest in it if a nation is recognizing it as an official currency. The island I hope to buy is 43.25 acres in size which I know is small for a nation but there are nations around the world that are really small to. Not that small but they are less then a few hundred acres I believe. And the island is really cheap for the size at only $85,000 USD. So if you guys believe this is a good idea or a bad idea please let me know. I will more than likely put up a poll as well. Thank you and I hope to hear from you all soon.

I was thinking and doing some more research and I came up with another way to raise the funds for the nation without selling the premine and that is to setup a type of stock for the nation on the  NXT system. And the people who buy into it will receive a dividend of what the nations government makes and it will be backed up by StarkaCoin just in case of anything happening. And of course I would want to be able to buy back the shares that were sold later on so the nation doesn't have to keep giving out money so we will give out the dividends and then once we have enough money to buy the shares back we will buy them at full price and maybe a little more than full price plus of course you would have also received the extra money from the dividends.

Does this coin have POS? if so just lower the coin mat age and block time for pos. pos block generation should be enough to keep the chain moving along without needing mega pow hash.

The campaign is still on going but we need node hosting or the wallets won't work. And StarkaCoin is not only for Minecraft it's just that Minecraft is an added feature of the coin.

StarkaCoin is now offering an IPO of 2,000 coins at a rate of 0.0005 Bitcoin per StarkaCoin. This IPO is meant to pay for node hosting for the coin so that the wallets may function. We will also be accepting donations to go towards the node hosting as well. I have found someone that will host the coin for 0.20 Bitcoin a year but if anyone is willing to do it cheaper or you know someone willing to do it for cheaper then please let me know by PM. Also to order from the IPO either post a comment or send me a PM and I will send you the Bitcoin address to send the Bitcoin to and make certain you send me your StarkaCoin address so I may send you the StarkaCoin. Also just so you all know I do not believe the wallets are working right now due to not having any node hosting so once I receive the funds from the IPO I will buy node hosting and then send out the coins to everyone who paid into it. Hi, everyone I am making this post to ask if anyone is interested in helping me either further develop StarkaCoin or try to make a StarkaCoin2 and do not worry everyone if I do get someone to help me and we decide to make a StarkaCoin2 we will make a premine big enough to compensate everyone who has mined the regular StarkaCoin. But like I said that's just an option if for whatever reason the person I find to help me would rather just restart the whole project to make it better. Okay that would be fantastic. And the reason you can't synchronize with the network is because we also need node hosting. That's the reason for me wanting to sell some of my coins was to buy node hosting but no one is interested in buying apparently.

it looks like this coin is having a rough start and a hard time making things work, i could be wrong but a good solid rethinking of this coins destination could have a great impact on it and might even help work out some of the kinks!

Thank you all for being patient and also thank you for being very supportive hectic know a lot of people are not and the first sign that something may not be doing great they start saying bad stuff and being negative. But if anyone is willing to help out please do so in anyway you can. Whether that be with a block explorer, pool, faucet, or node hosting that would be great. Also i know that a lot of you either can't do node hosting or can't do it for cheap so if anyone can help find a place to do node hosting that's cheap and will host the coin nodes properly that would be great as well and I will do my best to pay for it.
