Title: Signature space - Staff - Legendary member - 6100+ posts - around 50 posts/month
Post by: mprep on June 02, 2016, 03:47:42 AM
I'm auctioning off my signature. I make on average around 50 posts per month. The rules for this auction are:

  • No NSFW content.
  • No scams or shady businesses.
  • No coloured backgrounds.
  • I have the right to reject bids or advertisements. You can offer a different one of course.
  • If the service turns out to be a scam, I'll remove the ad and your money will not be refunded.
  • The auction winner must provide payment and the signature ad code within 48 hours of a request via PM.
  • Your signature will have an "Advertisement: " text before it, a notice and should fit within the following example:
Quote

Advertisment:
<Advertisement here>  |  BTC: <my address>
  |  LTC: <my address>
  |  Websites advertised in my signature are not endorsed by me.
  |  NXT: <my address>
 |  DOGE: <my address>
 |  Advertise here.

The minimum bid is 0.05 BTC, the bids should be evenly divisible by 0.01 BTC. The auction will end on July 1st default forum time (UTC +0000) if there is at least 1 valid bid. If there isn't one, it'll end 1 week after the first valid bid is placed. Any bid made in the last 3 hours of the auction will add 30 minutes to the auction end date. The winner's advertisement will run for 1 month.

Example for both valid and invalid bids:
Quote
0.05 BTC <------- VALID
0.03 BTC <------- INVALID, lower than minimum bid

0.06 BTC <------- VALID
0.061 BTC <------- INVALID, bid is not evenly divisible by 0.01 BTC

0.25 BTC <------- VALID
0.2556642 BTC <------- INVALID,  bid is not evenly divisible by 0.01 BTC

I'd prefer if you do so in this thread, considering that the last newbie bidder didn't really respond when contacted.

in the future maybe the best would be to provide btc-address at the begin of those auctions and a general rule so any bidding newbie has to either deposit the bidding amount or a non-refundable fraction of the bid OR to bid in form of a signed message which proofs he/she owns enough to pay in case of winning. I already missed auctions in the past because of newbies pushing prices high without serious intentions. just my 2 bits.

Indeed it is. Until you sign a message with an address that contains at least enough to cover the bid + transaction fee, the bid:

0.08 BTC

is inactive (invalid if someone decides to bid that amount or higher).

I will probably do something like that for the next auction.

Lol, guys, you are just kidding it was about 0.2 Btc there when I posted it, now when the bitcoin breaks 600s it was fair decision to sell some, so I've moved it to the exchange. You was asking for the confirmation about having btcs, I showed it. You was not talking about keeping them all the time. Right?

I don't think you are bidding seriously at all. I have sent you a message regarding the auction that you've won and I contact you so we can make a deal but you are not responding to my message.

Please, provide the rules for this auction, because I've realized the relationships to the newbies here

As I mentioned in the post, a specific rule will be added for the next auction. Until then, this one applies:

Quote
I have the right to reject bids or advertisements. You can offer a different one of course.

I wonder how you (being a non qualitative poster) are getting bids like 0.08BTC when several quality posters are struggling themselves to get a spot into a signature campaign?

Almost 95% of your 6100+ posts are about moderation:

Reason.

Nobody barely notices these kind of posts let alone be your very short signature space.
The actual irony is that you are a moderator with no constructive post history!

Those posters are completely free to open their own auction. In regards to the posts, not 95% of all posts, but yes, the majority of recent (public, non staff board, not counting the PMs I respond requesting some sort of assistance of which there is a sizeable number) ones are posts signifying why I moderated something. All users are free to look at my post history (easily accessible from my profile) before placing bids and decide if it's worth their money. In regards to people not noticing, I can assure you that occasionally enough people notice that multiple users decide to PM regarding a single topic.

In terms of irony, I'd say it's much more ironic that you are preaching about me not having constructive posts as a moderator (I'd disagree since these threads are used to inform users of whatever rule they broke and are a small fraction of the total posts moved), while looking to buy an established account (without notifying those who might've trusted the user or left positive trust) with "constructive" posts made by someone else so you could participate in a signature campaign:

I need a senior acc with excellent quality posts enrolled in Bitmixer signature campaign.

Account trade will be done only through escrow in a secret manner. Also escrow will verify if your account is already in the campaign or not and if your acc got any neutral trust from dt members about its previous sale.

Both of us are here to earn some extra pocket money isn't it? ;) And you should already be knowing the difficulties faced by newbies as I was quite unfortunate to come here very late. Moreover I am not buying that account for trading purpose. I will conclude every deals from my own account. That account is only to be used to earn some extra money which you are also doing from your own account. (because it is designated as staff)
