tried to login to my account and they asked for verification AFUCKINGGAIN !!!!!
my account 6 months old did this verification already in the beginning.

now 24hrs later still the same shit!!!!!

anyone else had problems like this

a pin verification i guess if you can't get into your xapo account because of this,simply use the "forgot your pin" password and the verification link will arrive to your email,as long you still have a control on your email account it'll sure can be recovered back

verification as in send ID and proof of residence

send them the following requirement and ask them to do manual review,discrepancies in the information you provided, such as an incomplete name or address, can trigger this notification to popup.

Yeah did all that and waiting...

If they gonna be pmsing every 6 months they must first inform via email and say hey
we need some stuff from you not outright bock your account just like that. And now we hand everything
immediately over and now wait. Not even banks do that.

Never took my own advise "if its not in your hands you don't own it"

Just heard it now that xapo requires an ID verification, I used xapo long time ago but I have never been asked for ID verification. Is it a new rule?

Xapo will require this verification after some days for security reason. no matter if you verified it in beginning.. you just received a digit code to your mobile number and have to add it on xapo..
don't you get this message in 6 months or you didn't logged in since 6 month?

I've had my Xapo account for a few years now never had this happen.

What seems to be the problem here? I've been using XAPO as my hot wallet for miniature transactions and every time I log in, it requires me to enter in my verification/pin and my 2fa. It's for my own security that's why I enabled them.
I am not facing any problem in logging into it.

I haven't faced this problem today but yesterday I couldn't access my wallet. When I by mistake entered the wrong pin, it just blocked my pin and it asked 2FA as well. It keeps asking verification code if you use a new browser or device or after 20-30 days. Tis is to keep your account secure. It doesn't ask for ID verification.

This is why always advisable to use blockchain.info or electrum wallet like me they will never ask this identity and address proofs. Even they can sometime block your account so better have paper wallet generated and put funds in them.

Coinbase known to have this type of verification if they detect some transaction related to gambling and now xapo seem to do same.

I experience it too until now but i just checking it because i have many referral in my faucet and use xapo as  my wallet in faucet for instant..
I experience it in login thats why i save my pc or permanent it to know my pc.. the confirmation is delay and then once the number receive and type it in verification you will get only bad result until you can not login.. already contact the support but its the same but sometimes i can login once i clear history and cookies..
Try it maybe it will work to you..

Just follow their instructions and send them whatever information they need from you. I'm pretty sure a company like them wouldn't do anything malicious to the information you provide them, but only use them as verification purposes that you actually own that account.

I too had problems many times when they keep asking for verification code. It's irritating as if I need to urgently send coins, I need to wait for the code and sometimes I don't even get the code and then I ask for a call. But it's still better than blockchain which never sends me the code and I was once locked out for 3 days.

Can anyone conform if the site is facing Ddos attacks ? Last time I checked Xapo was facing minor development issues and hence the trouble.

Is it so difficult to switch to at least a local desktop wallet where you are in charge of your private keys and they never leave your computer (make sure to have a clean PC first ,before installing ) ? People keep using XAPO , blockchain, coinbase and a lot of web online wallets which ask all kind of s hit for verification ,when in its philosophy bitcoin is pseudo anonymous(however it can become fully anonymous with some tweaks) . Wake up people , local wallets can be used for small and big transactions and they are safe as long as your PC is safe. Its for your own good to switch to one of them, personally I suggest electrum.

It doesn't require ID verification and I don't know from where you got this news. There is no rule as such and they don't even need your ID as they aren't as big as virwox or other exchanges that verify your identity when you buy/sell bitcoins.

Xapo is great  :D I've been withdrawing 2k euros per day without a prob for months

Note: Greece has capital controls and they allow people to withdraw up to 420 euros WEEKLY lol
And another note, their support seems to be a bit slow but always personalizes to solve your problem

i have only a 4 digit pin enabled ! But you have to enter this on any page visit.
But i Think this is ok for security reasons.
i have disabled the phone vertification.

With this Options you should easily acces to xapo.

What's wrong with some extra security. Be happy that take to courtesy to protect their site with proper protection, else you would be crying in the scam accusation section that you've lost your money...

It just asks you for a phone number so they can send you a pin during verification to log into your account from time to time.
That's the only thing that is close to asking for a form of id that I can think of.
