According to Mike Hearn's blog, he said the Bitcoin is failing and dying so he sold all his Bitcoin. Is it really true or it is just his marketing strategy?

Thats old news, The price seems to be on the constant rise at the moment and is higher than it has been for some time. I dont think bitcoin is dying somehow.

You need to check about the future or other information about bitcoin on some reliable source. In fact the bitcoin price is rising up.Does we can assume bitcoin is dying for now? Let's think again and searching the reliable website to get a best information.

Mike Hearn had a personal agenda against the Bitcoin Core developers because they didn't share his views about the future of Bitcoin development so he decided to call it quits and leave the team. I think his blog post was more of a personal vendetta against the Bitcoin community than a reasonable resignation letter. But as we can see the Bitcoin price has started rising even though the halving hasn't even started yet so I am inclined to believe that Bitcoin has a bright future ahead despite the droves of naysayers saying otherwise. Mike Hearn's anger and disappointment probably got the better of him but this doesn't mean that his statements hold water right?

I will say this directly to make things clear: Mike Hearn is an idiot who sold himself to the banks. It's as simple as that. If I recall correctly, they knew at that R3 conference (there's a video about it) that the negative blog post and article (from NY times) were coming. It was planned.

In other words: He was spreading hyperbolic FUD. I remember the time when Bitcoin "required" 20 MB blocks or it was going to die, and yet here we are.

He has the same amount of credibility like Gavin does now. None that is.

Dont think the bitcoin would die that fast. He is just new there are allot of people who dont even know about it and off course they will meet the coin and than he will be very big!

IMO the guy just wants to spread some bad news about Bitcoin to lower the price. Then he'll buy a lot knowing that Bitcoin will go up anyway.

Seriously, there is no reason for anyone to think that bitcoin is dying. Rather, it's thriving.

I think that Bitcoin is becoming more popular especially with the price moving up again that is attracting allot of people. I will not sell all my coins just yet I am going to wait a bit longer.

I dont think the bitcoin is dying dont you all saw the rise in these view weeks. I dont think he would die ever but there are allot of people who also need to use the coins instead of only using gold if that happen look what the bitcoin can be.

Those are only bullshits. It is enough to see the price of bitcoin the last days. Is increased more than 25%. If a product is failing never can be verified its increase of price. Are only stupidities of someone who feel that is leaved behind in this matter and want to attract attention.

Well Bitcoin is not failing at the moment for sure. It may struggle from time to time, but the one thing that will never fail is the block chain technology  ;) This is like when the internet was discovered - it is new, not many people use it, not many people understand how it works, but eventually it changed the world. So I think it is and it will be the same scenario, until it's finally accepted worldwide and become the currency of the future.

No need to think of those unworthy statements put forth by hearn. Already it has over come various issues before he put forth his statement. Now too its going good on the rising side with high growth percentage.

The market cap like 2.5 billion off the ATHs isn't it ? the hash rate is higher than ever before.  Looks to me like he wants to buy more bitcoin at a cheaper price else why does he bother even making an official 'im quiting bitcoin' announcement?

Bitcoin and its derivatives are still in infancy.  It will probably take a world crisis to bring it to the forefront since banks will then come under marshall law and trading bitcoin
will become an alternative faster than trading gold for services.  Once the world is using it, it should be here to stay..

Bitcoin is not dying and that is because there are also a lot of people that is hoping that the value will jump after the halving so they can earn more money with it and that would be nice.

We use BitCoin currency in real world, in some country there are ATM machines which we can withdraw our money with our BitCoin account.

The fact is that BTC price is strongly going up latest two weeks. Today BTC price is around 582 USD. This is best evidence, that BTC have good future.  ;D

I think a counter argument from people who are qualified like Peter Todd, Adam Back or G Maxwell should be read.  I'm pretty sure they might have said something about Mike Hearn's blog unless I missed something.

Whow isw Mike Hearn at at all and why is his opinion so important? I wouldn't relay on this at all and Bitcoin can't die or disappearw justw like that.

Bitcoin is not dying but it is only getting harder to earn Bitcoins. I do not know how they are going to stop this but they have to come up with a solution so that they will keep going in the future.

Well, it's his loss that he sold all his bitcoins because if you look at the charts, you can definitely see that bitcoin is getting more and more support than before and it would be impossible to say that bitcoin is dying with growing community everyday.

Mike Hearn said this shit a while ago, back in February or March if I remember correctly. He was irked because of something with a lot of the devs not wanting to switch to Bitcoin Classic, a fork of Bitcoin with changes to the block size, and he decided to say "Oh this is done because they don't want to listen to me, it's over, ggwp thx for the money".

The value is going back up, and this is a positive thing, and if he really cared about Bitcoin instead of the power of being a developer, he would like still have some investments in bitcoin, but some people are just morons so you can't change that.

You are right about that, altcoins mostly just disappear after some time but with the bitcoin this is not the point at all.

Bitcoin is improving its popularity and supporting the users from different regions. You can compare with past years this is still continues driving on to the top. There many more users are using BTC as their full time job.

Yea I've come across a couple of other articles recently claiming that Bitcoin had failed.  Nothing to worry about IMO, it is not possible to have believers without having any non-believers. It's a little bit of shame that Mike Hearn decided to jump ship but Bitcoin will keep moving forward.

Its early to say that bitcoin is dying look at the chart now from May and now its June $400-$750 approximately almost $300 USD  the rise of price. Bitcoin will never die until there are still people who use it and mine bitcoin to supply. And I guess That Mike Hearn is now regreting about how the move or strategy he used, if he had 2 bitcoin before and the price of that time is +$400 USD How come now that the price now is $750 USD probably its a very big brofit to him, but now its a big loss.
