While I was reading some articles in the net I was wondering what OS do you prefer for your computer. According to you Mac, Linux or Windows is the best?

CentOS for my servers, ubuntu/windows for desktop

if you are a programmer or a computer geek i recommend you to use linux . dual boot your computer if you still want to use your original OS . but i think MacOS is the best .

Well I prefer Windows for everyday use, but for more secure system or programming I think nothing can beat Linux - some versions are already made user friendly, like Windows, so you can try it and see for yourself. Like someone before me said here, you can have both Linux and another OS and dual boot your PC, but you better have more ram to do that - otherwise your system will lag ;) I don't have experience with Mac OS, but I think it's better than Windows.

I prefer Ubuntu for my desktop.
I have a peeve with the mobile OS like Android which require you to register at Google Play Store before you can do anything.

For gaming i choose windows for study i will use linux and for cool i will choose mac  :D

Before I was using Ubuntu 14.04 but got a debugged my OS now is Lubuntu 16.04.

well, im still using Windows as my OS. and i dont know which better, because im just using Windows, never tried using Mac and Linux

I use Linux so many benefits over Windows.

MacOS predefined and installed the Java programing language for computer programmer and alike, you can also try Linux.  8)

I do most things on my iPhone, I don't currently have any active servers, but I used Ubuntu and it worked great.

Ubuntu is nice too. Looks good and easy to use they have done a good job the last couple of years imo.

i prefer linux, i sticked to ubuntu...windows is only a must. I'm not the linux only guy, i grew up on dos, norton commander LOL (i felt like i was cheating the command line using it ;D), later windows but i feel more comfortable, safer with linux. I just can't abandon the command line ;D

Many people also prefer linux, I hear that linuxmint and ubuntu have user-friendly interfaces.

linux vs windows two different worlds, both are good and have their places. Windows - commercial product, needs money and marketing and hiring people to keep it going. Linux, open product supported by masses, developed out of passion. Which one is better ;D?

You are using the worst OS I have ever been unfortunate enough to use it was on impulse mind you, fear of missing out. I put up with it for a few weeks but there is a lot of privacy concerns with it. Windows 7ultimate is my favorite windows but over all, Linux is hands down safer and is the OS I prefer over all others.  

Mac OS of course. Once you used it,you would never feel good about Linux or Windows.

I use Linux because it's free and doesn't have tons of apps installed i would never use.

I used to be into all that Linux crap, but when I realized how unstable Linux is, I got fed up with trying to make applications work, and fixing something every day, I just deleted it and got Windows... Haven't had a single problem in 2 years.

No mac is incompatable with everything.
Doesn't even have the same sound/video/photo files!
Linux is good along with Windows they have high compatability.
Mac costs around 10BTC as you have to purchase everything!

I was not so keen to go from win 7 - win 10. I have now, it is good. I enjoy the enterface a lot more.

I'm going to be a huge nerd here and say I prefer Linux. It gives you so much more power of the computer...it's great. What I use normally though is windows. It's the most user friendly os that I've known. Plus most of us grew up on it.

Windows is the best for me.

Windows is the top OS for a reason. It's easy to just pick up and use. Linux is hard as crap if you're used to windows. Android is nice too and I like it.

I use Windows 10 and I like it because its simple to use and understand. Almost every application or program out there is compatible with Windows, and although the iOS interface does look much prettier and aesthetically pleasing, the ubiquity of Microsoft just makes life a lot easier compared to a Mac user. Just my 2 cents :)

Having the most security problems may be a good thing?
It means that maore people use it so there is a greater market for these "security cracks".

Ubuntu is a fairly good operating system to use though.

The hackers will go wherever the most users are. They'll find cracks that nobody thought of. Ubuntu is one of my fav linux but unfortunately linux can't be used for gaming.

I will tell you all.. they intend on pushing their late to the game APP's platform out.

That is why WIN 10 exists.

I believe there is no better OS features than Windows. It is a versatile OS, it is very convenient and easy to use . I think it's better than Mac.

Most popular is Windows, but you can get virus, malware etc. Then second popular is Linux, from Linux most developed is Debian - but you can get Linux virus, for example, even - through downloading. Plus when you download Debian software - it can be outdated. There are some special cases, when you need different type of other Linux.  ;)

I find Ubuntu is by far the best but using Windows  10 ATM as wife and kids don't know Ubuntu very much.

As soon as my new desktop is built I'll be using Ubuntu on it.

I use windows ultimate 7 but I like windows 10 because it is the trending operating system in our country. I also like linux for hacking moments. And windows server for controlling some pc in my setup roles in te server. That is why I use virtual machine so that I can have many OS in my PC.

i would give suggestion with linux, you can select varian of linux because is so much you can choose but i think ubuntu or else which you can learn with easy. if you have budget, you can buy windows original and you can get update everytime microsoft makes an update in software. for mac, i don't have experience with this and i am no clue.

I was using Kubuntu the other day. I couldn't figure how to install a program. Can't click and install.

I'm using both linux mint and windows 7. Most of the time I use linux and only using windows if I'm running some programs that don't run on linux.

Recently started using Mac for work, and I really do love it.

Still Windows for games, and Debian for servers.

I like use Windows,but the macbook is Very simple and beautiful.

I dual boot I use windows to play some games and Ubuntu to do everything else.

I use MacOS as it's better for programming but I prefer Windows. It's better laid, the start menu and taskbar are a lot better than anything Mac has to offer.

I am currently using all three - Win7, MacOS El Capitan and xubuntu 15.06 . The latter really revived my old laptop, making it really fast and apt for browsing, text and spreadsheet work.

It is better to use windows 10 good quality operating system. But I used windows 7 and windows server I use this operating system to setup network server to client. I create roles to control the client and vice versa.

I tried Apple for a while, but I just couldn't get used to it. Not a cool experience, so I just kept using Windows installed through Bootcamp.

I heard Linux is the best because it guards against viruses, although I've never used it before. Quite scarce in my country, I use windows.

Windows can become expensive too, well any OS can be especially those that need other parts and upgrades every now and then. I guess, it will be the matter of preferences when we use those OS. Just like in playing games, we have different criteria to consider before choosing to play one. I, for one, like playing on gambling sites (https://vegascasino.io/promotions/st-patricks-day?utm_source=stpatricksday) because they have variety of games to choose from so I won't get bored on one.
