However, if you're doing that for speculation. Good idea, IMO. It couldn't be lack of faith on bitcoin, the future of all those alt coins is dependent on the success of bitcoin. If bitcoin fails, all of them will fail.

They all have pretty much been low in value, hovering in the satoshi price range. Probably because there is practically no market use for them. I also doubt if BTC succeeds the alt coin universe will as well. I may as well make my own alt coin called JCoin and say its the same as Bitcoin and expect it to fluctuate proportionally. Market drives a currency's value
