Title: We should pay rewards to stores that accept bitcoins for a certain period.
Post by: istar on June 11, 2011, 12:10:19 PM
There should be a reward program for companies that sell example software, if the take payment in bitcoins for atleast a certain period, such as 6 months or a year.

Perhaps 10 bitcoins to each the 100 biggest/known companies to accept bitcoins for a full 6 months or a full year.

It also has to be very clear on the frontpage/news payment option.

Companies should not be too small to get the reward.

Would be helpful to define "big enough". Also, without a proper regulatory framework, normal retailers will find it difficult to accept bitcoins - their accounting system will just not work. How do you pay taxes, and more importantly, should you?

Just like the economy is built on small business, bitcoin will be as well.  Small businesses have no power to buy politicians or judges- we can only work hard and produce quality for as many clients as possible.

If you really want to help bitcoin, go to my website and look at the ticker.  Choose one of the businesses there to patronize.  Every bitcoin that you spend helps strengthen the bitcoin economy.  The more money that is spent with bitcoins the stronger the infrastructure becomes, the more growth you will see in the currency and acceptance, and the stronger reward business has for being brave enough to stick their necks out to be on this list.
