Title: My first Bitcoin Faucet - sweetbitco.in
Post by: SweetBitcoinFaucet on June 10, 2016, 02:33:49 PM
Hi guys,

I currently try to build my own faucet and would like to get some feedback from you  :)
http://sweetbitco.in (http://sweetbitco.in)

Thanks already

PS:
-the payout and the chance of getting 2000 sat are currently very low.. if the faucet will work I will probably set them to 200(90%), 2000(10%)
-I am also planning to remove some ads (probably the 4 long ones at the sides).. if the faucet will work

a-ads only pays for the first ad impression which loads up. No need to have 7 ad blocks on a single page. Just my $0.02

Thanks a lot. I didn't realize it  :-[

I'll use another ad-network for anything but the top.. any recommendations?

I suggest you to use a-ads, bitmedia and blockadz ads in faucet rather than bee ads as i have heard bee ads are no more in operation. And also increase reward to atleast 50 sat per 10 minute or best is 100 satoshi per hour and 50% referal commission is fine.

mellowads, u-ads and bitmedia.io are good options but they have strict traffic requirements

I think you should add anti-bot too so that you can prevent your faucet to drain.. many faucet owner unsuccessful in their faucet because every day they are draining from bots. so better to add some script for anto bot and prevent vpn use and proxy user..

Thanks a lot for your tips guys. I've changed the ads and started raising the payout a tiny bit (I will continue step by step). I also added some kind of proxy protection... but it works just in some cases. Can you recommend a script for blocking proxys and vpns?

With your 30 satoshi reward you don't actually need any protection.
Can you imagine a lot of visitors looking for 30 satoshi?

I would advice to increase it since people will visit try and then never return.30 Satoshi is not worth to bookmark a faucet.
And i hope you want to get some traffic to earn so you can pay the participants right?

The amount of satoshi is very small, you should pay at least 300-500 satoshi per 30 minutes (or about 100-200 satoshis per 10 minutes)if you want to see people coming at your faucet. There are many faucets which pay more than 500 satoshi's per 30 minutes. I hope you can do that much, good luck with the faucet anyway.

I've increased the payout to min. 60 sat... But  currently the problem is that I am still waiting for site approval by u-ads and bitmedia so the Faucet isn't complete yet. After I can add ads from those networks the payout will be increased further (100sat min).

These ad networks have strict traffic requirements. Unfortunately you may need to make your first few faucet payouts from your pockets to get that kind of traffic.
