Title: Wallet backup - encrypted - how to recover?
Post by: JB0011 on June 11, 2016, 02:52:39 AM
I have a wallet backup. The name is 'wallet.aes.json'. When I try to add it into import wallet page of blockchain, it asks for a password. I don't remember this password. I have the wallet identifier. But I don't have that phrase and I don't remember the password.

Is there any way possible I can recover the coins from this wallet back up?

Pretty much, no, there is no way. Without any indication of what the password may be, any brute force attempt will take too long unless the password was especially short and weak.
