be careful of unusually large gift cards from unknown users

could have been purchased with stolen credit cards (or even legit cards then charged back)

almost got burned with this once myself

Not neasesarily calling out OP but this is VERY true. I used to work somewhere where people would buy a large gift card before fraud was detected on the credit card, then use it to buy multiple gift cards of smaller denominations.

This. I've assisted with multiple users with the same predicament, one notably by camolist too. Be careful of accepting unusually large gift cards unless the user is to be trusted.
