Title: What would you REALLY want to purchase from Canada?
Post by: monbux on June 11, 2016, 11:24:51 PM
I'm a Canadian.  We've got some cool products here.  Are there any products you want to purchase from the Canadian market in bitcoin? :)
Should be legal and safe/legal for all ages, looking to please everyone.

OTC muscle relaxers.  I think the laws in Canada are much less stringent than the US, though I don't know the laws that govern shipping pharmaceuticals across the border.  I know sending prescription meds is fine if there's a legit prescription, not sure about OTC stuff.

This is legal, safe, and pleases everyone (novelty-wise mostly, but Chinese say otherwise):

I love how suddenly the rules are more of a grey area when it is something you want xD

Lays Ketchup chips are not a problem, would you be willing to order in bulk? :P

Maple... syrup? ;D

I'm all the way down here in Australia, and that's the first thing that comes to mind when someone says Canada. Also nothing comes to my mind after that, though.

Are Hawkins cheesies really that tough to find? I thought they were carried at most Canadian Costcos, but I might be wrong. If someone really wanted a flat of Hawkins cheesies and monbux wasn't able to find them, I'd probably be able to ship a box to the States.

A moose would be cool, but you'd have to remember to poke holes in the box. (Learned that one the hard way!)

Me

Having lived in Canada, I tend to take uniquely Canadian foods for granted.  My uncle would make it a point to have us get him a flat of butter tarts to take back to the US with him any time he visited.  Also, west coast smoked salmon is delicious.
Properly packaged in foil, it can be shipped anywhere.  Butter tarts are difficult to ship as the filling can be slightly runny.
Granny's any Flamingo are two brands of butter tarts that come to mind.
Nanaimo bars are another Canadian treat.  I don't even know what's in them but they are addictive. I think they have to be kept refridgerated though...

Tourists who can afford it buy smoked salmon in a cedar gift box:

Hmm.  Perhaps It's just me but I've never really seen them anywhere.  I tend to go with the big-names, like Lays and Doritos.  Just so I could fatten up quicker.

The smoked salmon is great, and it's a good buy just to show off. ;)  I'm actually heading to niagra on my way to the US, I'll be leaving Canada soon so, any more jokes/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

cuban cigars
I don't smoke.  Are these the big fat ones?

A service where someone who lives in a Canada/US border city crosses into the US, goes to the nearest USPS post office to the border, picks up a general delivery/poste restante (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poste_restante#United_States) package with the name on the package the same name on their government ID, takes the package into Canada, and either reships it to the final recipient, or hands it over personally.

T1s are legal in canada, they are illegal in the US so I assume you cannot get them shipped.

This is just crazy, very crazy. I`m surprised what is out there. Someone finally started to sell air. Congratulations on this idea, I saw somewhere unicorn fart for sale, but that was irony. This is like failure of this world, failure of humanity. What we can expect next to happen?

Canadians have good and quality things, I will try to check what is there for me more careful, now when OP offer such good thing for us. I live in Serbia, that is in Europe so I need to calculate fees for sending something to me. Maybe that can be more expensive then the thing I wish.

Can not ship from Canada soon due to impeding postal strike.

Well the union voted against the current Canada Post proposal which is a strike vote but really they don't want to strike.  Canada Post rejected the unions request to extend the July 2nd deadline for a lockout which is odd considering the union has already been 5 months without a contract.  It's more likely that the union will be locked out but the effect on mail delivery is the same.

Sure Canada Post ships 2/3 of all parcels but there are lots of ways to ship from Canada still - it will simply cost a little more.  DHL, FedEx, Purolator and UPS all ship from Canada.
