I just thought I'd inform people who are not necessarily following the price movement as this is a pretty sizable increase from ~$580 a few hours ago. Wonder how high we'll reach this time :)

I'm very glad to hear that, bitcoin reaches $630 wow nice progress for bitcoin.... I hope the price of bitcoin is surpassed their price at $1000 at 2013... good information.

You can find the current prices and future speculation in the "speculation " section of this forum.  Prcie is rising high and it will continue to do so for the next one month. there will be lots of  breaking news of price crossing 700$, 800$, 900$ and it will hit the media on crossing $1000 Dollars. Lots more to come this month regarding price pumping.

I only checked price every morning when i woke up. I rarely checked it in afternoon or evening. But when I saw this thread i was shocked to know the price is at this rate. I never think that it will pass $600 now its behind my expectation. It went up so fast after how many days only  playing in $470-$480+.

wow this thread is amazing the price keeps moving up and it is just a matter of time, we can't really say if it can hit 1k but the movement is unpredictable and moving to our side, more profit to come bitcoin believer.

indeed it may be a good sign i am really hopping  to put bitcoin in the top spot but i have some questions if it still does benefits as
who earns only micro amounts? if btc praise rises faucets payouts gets lower then what if suddenly
btc price drops down quickly is our efforts in getting some satoshis acceptable?

And current value is $637 so maybe next 24hours it will break $700 ;D And yes in speculation section therre are so many threads about the value of bitcoin and when it will reach in their guess.

When I woke up and looked Bitcoin course, I could not believe my eyes! I thought that the more sleep! For one night the price so sharply and greatly increased!

Yes, I saw that and read something similar at reddit.  THAT BIG a price jump makes me wonder if there might be something UGLY going on in China.  Shanghai stock trading starts tomorrow night (US ET), something like 9:00 PM.

This is our dream and we are now making a profit even its low amount increase or $40 usd increased we still don't trust this price and i think it will decrease sooner.. because of panic sell.. other people are satisfied with this price. So just have a drick for successful waiting...

I originally thought the bitcoin could be below $600 this month, and it will jump to $600 around 10 July. I was wrong.

it was a real interesting morning for me, i have been getting in the habit of checking the price each morning when i wake up and today surprisingly enough i saw the $620+ which was interesting to me especially because i was expecting $600 to be broken in a much longer period of time but i was wrong!

i hope i make more mistakes like this , haha

its a nice news unfortunately i already sold some of my bitcoin when it hit 570$, I think the price still can up until 700$, its become dilemma for me, whether try to hold it for price up or i sell it now
many of my friends suggest me to hold it a bit longer, they believed the price still can up

This is a great speed and a pretty good growth for Bitcoin. because with the rapid growth makes people who haven't used it interested in benefits and advantages are given. Then, with the growth of the bitcoin would be so much more fun and profitable.

My initial guess was that BTC will reach $600 at the time of halving or just after it. However, now I would increase my prognosis, I think we ll see about $800 which is enough for the investment frenzy to start. We ll see a lot of new people flocking into cryto and they will start buying ALTS!

Yup, this is suprising thing. Didnt expected if bitcoin price will be break $600 in this time. This is good news to people who already bought alot of btc when the price still was $580. Maybe btc price would hit $700 in the end of this month.

Guys I just woke up and because I have Preev open in a tab on my Firefox browser so as to be able to check the price at a glance I briefly noticed the price was at $629 when I was walking by my monitor heading to the bathroom to brush my teeth and I almost didn't believe my eyes and thought I was still dreaming  ;D What a really nice surpise on a Sunday morning. I guess we will have Bitcoin at $700-$750 by next week's end.

this is not very surprising thing that  bitcoin price reached 630$. i m speculating that it will reach above 1000$ in these 1-3 month or even before seeing the recent pump. so no need to panic. we just have to hold over bags and dump our coins at the right time.

And price of bitcoin will going up more than $630, it will find new area of resistance. Last price on area support was $576. But it is just my opinion prediction of price use tecnical analysis.

Things are really getting crazy now. Has halving already happened or yet to happen ? I just hope no one dumps their stash now, and hopefully we will be able to reach 1300 again.

I just checked preev.com to found this... I thought there is some kind of a bug or something since it happens sometimes.

It's probably time to start withdrawing your BTC from exchanges and websites like cloud mining platforms and like Coince.com ... Some of them will become greedy and won't have any issue scamming people.

I think this is one of the good sign that after halving the price of the bitcoin can skyrocket up to 1000$. I'm so excited now :)

the price is not going to magically jump on the halving date
the 6 months following the halving is what you need look at

If you look at the previous halving in terms of increase by percentage, we are not far off following a similar pattern.

The last halving (28/Nov/12)
The price had 140% increase from the price 6 months prior to the halving
and then had 900% increase 6 months post halving (after bubble)
May 2012 = $5
November 2012 = $12.50
(April 2012 bubble reached $230)
May 2012 = $125

July 2012 it did drop to $80 but then it did climb past $1000 in the following months before the price come down to $200 which was mainly due to mining farms popping up (and GPU mining becoming obsolete) and oversupplying the market.


Right now, the price is $630
and we have a month to go until the next halving on July 10th (roughly)
the price on January 15th This year was $358
(price was up and down around this time, but this day would probably give best value for this purpose)
so if the price was to increase by 140% it would come to $859
now looking at price very recently it does seem possible bitcoin could reach $859 by July 10th

So if bitcoin does follow the same patter as previous halving and does reach $859 by july 10th
Then we could also see it follow the same pattern for the 6 months following the halving
which would be a 900% increase on $859

which would give us $8592 by january 2017

even if the increase post halving is only half of previous halving, it would still be over $4000
but price now has already passed 70% increase (about 76% ATOW) on price 6 months prior to this halving

One thing to note though from previous halving is that there was a bubble within the 6 months post halving
which was nearly double but then also 9 months after the halving to price had dropped to just 400% increase

so if following same pattern a bubble would take BTC to about $16000, before the bubble bursts which may then take the price down to $4000 before it would start to climb again

well price now is a little bit smaller than 630$, i think at this moment price is 570$, but it is still very good i think for us and for bitcoins, because more people will be interested in bitcoins

and i think that this price rise is because of halving, as lots of people buys now, but i think it's still very awesome, as i don't care why price rises, i care that price is large

That's excellent sounds; Bitcoin starts to show their power and future. Maybe with this situation, the bitcoin price will exceed $900 or more. bitcoin is a good investment.

Right now it looks that Bitcoin is a very good investment but this trend can change also and price of bitcoin can go down again.
It's like in the real market, and BTC price depends on supply and demand.
It's not realistic that BTC price will go only up, but we have to see long term vision behind it and not to sell BTC in panic when trend change and price starts to go down again.

Have you realized that for three weekends in a row the bitcoin price has dramatically grown in few hours? At first from $480 to $530, then from $530 to $590, now from $590 to $650. Could it mean that next weekend the price might achieve the $700 level? I think it is highly likely.

But what is it that occurs on weekends that can't happen on weekdays? Bitcoin hobbyists take some time off work to buy? This bull run is probably drive by China's capital controls; I firmly believe all halvings have been priced in already, given how deterministic the algorithm is, and how smart markets usually are.

It's amazing how this has happened. I remember the last halving not a lot had happened when it comes down the price. but this halving is great.
Finally bitcoin is worth an acceptable rate. We all know 200 or 300 has nothing to do with the real value of bitcoin.


And the market cap is also above 10 billion... like I said.. amazing!

I believe we will see many more similar threads soon. Now when btc is going up, soon we will see 670, 710, 830... 970 $ for 1 btc, and some people will be surprised and some not. Cause this is how it goes. This times make people feel euphoric in my opinion.

Lets see what will happen soon, and how will bitcoin behave after this rising. I think its more important to think about far future then about today and tomorrow. That's way we will be better prepared for upcoming events.

Lets hope we can see bitcoin high like never before, and if there is some luck he will stay there stabilized.

It has chances like always and speculations like that based on the current move is really present when the price moves likes how's the current price move today.

Back in last year, there are also builds speculations of reaching $600, $700 and so on also because of the sudden price increase but it didn't happen. So in here, all possibilities that may happen in bitcoin price move really has a chance, whether going up after the sudden price or going down.

I think so too. I believe for the heath of the bitcoin price, it should not rise any further. A correciton is needed.

Today I woke up to see the Bitcoin Price even higher than the 630 dollars barrier. I guess I will see it go to a $1000 dollars before the end of june!

I am not expecting for that price because its already happen the same event before the price is increase fast.. so i am not shocked..

Wow... just back from a short vacation and surprise to see the big jump from $540 to $660 now! This is getting more and more exciting when we are approaching the halving!

But, Something is starting from lower go to high with slowly it's will be better than lower to high with instantly because it's will defend for a long time than through instant progress.

The increase in price/activity seems to be causing the block sizes to reach their limit.. For the past 100 blocks


So just 1 Maxed out  but a lot that are over 990kB..  I have a feeling if this price increase keeps going up... there's going to be a lot more maxed out blocks coming.

Massive increases in the exchange rate of any currency makes businesses nervous. They need to immediately exchange their btc sales in for dollars or risk losing money on sales. This rapid movement must be artificial. It makes no sense.

right,The price will always rise for a short time. More block can make fast for the price of bitcoin to going up. I have the same feel with you. Because on some local exchange in china, the price bitcoin is more expensive than big stamp.

I just did sold my bitcoins for $570 last week and now it is $630. I should have sold it today. What factors do experts say why it raised this high? Is it because of chinese markets and the upcoming halving?

No do not sell your bitcoin yet its price will continue rising $630 to $800 just keep it in your wallet and wait until the halving come then there you will decide if you gonna sell or you gonna keep for a long time

Yeah,that's can rise a more value easily not take 1 or 2 weeks maybe only take a few hours to make a increases value. Not have any reason for we to sell bitcoin for now.

After researching, i found out that the sudden spike in price is due to massive buy-in from the chinese miner. So i am starting to believe that it might be a pump and dump play plotted by the chinese miner to control more of the market.

What we are witnessing is a bank run.  

Well sort of. Its been known for some time now that many Bitcoin service providers have been cooking their books in various ways to squeak out just a little bet more profit. And now with the price shooting up Bitcoin service providers are forced to buy back bitcoins they didn't actually own to cover all the panicked users.

It's the fear over bitcoin service providers going belly up during this up swing in price that's causing people to pull bitcoins off online wallets and exchanges. The more people who move bitcoins to their own personal computers for safe storage the faster market liquidity drops speeding the price rise and thus the more hard cash these exchanges need to cover the ever growing deficit on their books.  Its a feed back loop with no end in sight.

I would not be surprised if we start to see Bitcoin service providers going offline for "maintenance" very soon.

If they start to say shit like "we have detected some potentially fraudulent transactions on our service and we are halting said service to investigate...etc"  its already to late your bitcoins are gone.

Only one month and I predict 50 dollar more before it hit the halving day then could go from $1000 to $2000 this year I'm wishing it would..

I think the halving is already priced in the current btc value and that we will see a significant dip in the near future.

if its going to happen as quick as possible, those who hold their coins or not in front of their desktop during the time of the dip, will definitely lose money.

For me, I don't mind if sometime in the future it pulls back to $500 and stabilizes at $600 after that. The price surge seems to be happening too fast too soon. At some point, something must give. Everything that goes up must go down, before it starts to go up again.

Yea I must admit it is a tiny bit unnerving to see it go up that fast although I don't think it'll drop all the way to the old floor of around $430. I'm also considering cashing out a portion of my Bitcoins but at the same time there is no telling how high the price can reach, I don't want to miss the rocket to moon (and beyond). Today bitcoin price is 680$ this is very huge increment in bitcoin price now a days i think this may reach 800$ with in this month because couple of last weeks it increasing day by day and suddenly 50$ increment in evry two or three weeks so i think it may reach 800$ this month end or with in that. I am really happy for this price increase and this is the time to sell our stock coins.

Yeah yesterday the price of bitcoin chance rapidly and went up very high amount. I wondering when i see it. Even when 30 minutes ago i see the price has touched 664 dollars each bitcoin. But i think it is give bad affect for the price of other cryptocurrency that the most of cryptocurrency is going down deeply now. But the high price of bitcoin still profitable for me.

It is currently up by 9% from the previous day. I am actually feeling nervous as to the price movement, especially this massive climb over the last few weeks. This kind of surge is just not sustainable and I hope we don't witness a crash when the price becomes too hot. I hope this is not something that is controlled by those who own a lot of bitcoins.

Good that the value of the Bitcoin is now at $630 because now people can sell there coin for a even higher price. I did not know that the price would rise this fast but I guess that I was wrong and the price can rise allot faster then I thought.

this bitcoin price rapidly increasing was a temporary coz of halving getting near so the panic buyer will buy more to earn some bucks. but if some larger investor dump their bitcoin for sure it will drop rapidly.beware of this temporary increase.soon it will stabilize.

This could actually happen if it keeps going the way it has been, there will be a drop at some point but guessing where and when that will be is a skill we would all love to have.

$1k is perhaps a bit high, maybe around $800 before halving would be my guess.

The bitcoin price is soaring to such a high level right now that all the bitcoin holders from the $400~ stability must have been really really happy. In fact, it's nearing $700 now as we speak.

The price is still around the $730 to $770. This could be a good sign. The price is consolidating after the big rise recently.

We can be closer towards $800ish after this week is over.

Which leaves us another week and a half to really get to our peak price. But the fact the price is holding like this is always a super good sign.

i doubt that the price is going to grow so fast once again because people are not seem to be interested in buying their coins at the moment also there was an ethereum hack

bitcoin is at 740 at the moment and in order for the price to grow once again i believe that we might need to wait for a much longer time right now to be honest because the price is stable now

I doubt it. It is more a sign that we slightly run out of fuel in this bull run. My take is we either make a break in the next few days, or we start an elevator down in the next two weeks.

It is a typical for speculative pumps. They usually end with an elevator down. Watch out for more.

i dont think that the price is going to drop a lot in the near future because it has already went down

The Bitcoin price is back to $630 again =)

That shows bitcoin is so volatile currency within hours its price gown up and down with some amount

Now there is full possibility that price will even go down in coming day, so if you want to buy some coins, then wait for few days and you will see best price to buy.

It even reached a low of $608 today. I hope we'll manage to keep the price above $600 as it would be quite sad to fall back to the $500's. Maybe that just before the block halving the price will recover to +$700 levels, but there are no guarantees when it comes to Bitcoin.

We cannot be sure about anything now that what's gonna happen in coming days, price may go too higher or may be will see the price going below $500 again, we cannot control it and we just need to watch the price trend.

I think that testing the support at $500 is quite a reasonable thing to expect.
This pump went too quickly and too far. Usually there is an elevator down that follows and that is exactly what we observe right now.

The $500 range has been tested, the price did not go below the $500 level. That is a good sign for the future price.

don't be worry today the prices has already increase again and the current prices still stay at $670 above and for those who has panic selling several days ago they were will regret they decision because we almost see bitcoin prices reach to $700 again

On june 21 you wrote this post that price is going down and  "we've ran out of fuel" and now just after 4 days you see "Fuel is back on" ;) and now again bitcoin is rising to a new height.  :)

the owner of this forum should add a bitcoin price range somewhere in the top right corner so then we can all see what the price of bitcoin is in usd and if it has dropped or not It will save people time and they wouldn't have to keep searching about it

Maybe that the new forum will have some sort of a price ticker included somewhere at the top of each page. I always have a BitcoinWisdom tab open that is streaming the price and last trades.

I think the halving is already priced in. The price will not be too high just after the halving. It could be around $800.

the block halving is indeed priced in seeing the price sit above the $600 price level. but that doesn't mean the price won't go up anymore. we still have the hype that might initiate another bull run very soon.

More important for btc price will be what will happen in EU,what central banks will do after Brexit
and finally US presidential election,if Donald Trump will have any chance to win bitcoin will test all time high

EU situation is very important, although I haven't seen some action because of it. It seems to me bitcoin price is acting indifferently. Which means the market seems to be in control totally by the market manipulators. Let's wait what the halving will bring, it's too early to speculate about the new future where the price will go.

If the hype makes the bitcoin marker price pump and dump it might be bad news for bitcoin on the media.

i doubt that bitcoin price is going to be dependent on the world events as these things will not have a huge impact on our financial system we have at the moment thus not a lot of people will buy

one bitcoin is only at 630 dollars right now, and i think that it might grow during the halving but nearly anything might happen to the price so i think it might be risky to buy right now

When the market cap of bitcoin is small, it is more affected by the world news. When it has $100 bitcoin marekt cap, it is more affected by the adoption.

I think the bitcoin market price might be getting ready for the bitcoin block halving by increasing the price because of reduced supply.

The price has already risen due to halving. That is a know factor we all knew a year ago. So it is already in the price.

well yes this is a huge price rise from 400$ in just 2-3 weeks and i am very happy about that as huge price is very good for bitcoin, and i am happy that price is stable now

but soon it won't be stable because of halving in 2 weeks, so price will either fall down to 400$ or it will rise to 800$, so i can't wait for halving to see what price it will be

Don't know too much about what price will it be on the day of halving or whenever it takes place, but can definitely say that you are going to see a new ATH as of all time, and not to forget, it will be huge this time.

The price going to 630 was amazing I do hope we will see this happen more. Suppose we get to 800, it means bitcoin has doubled in value in just 6 months. Let's do that again or at least towards 800 dollar. It would make my year very good.

I expect it to go higher. But not very high. 700 dollar and then retract to 500.
The reason I am negative is because it seems the halving is near and dumping will start.

The bitcoin price increases with the number increase as a general rule. So the price will be higher in the future.

Most of the people have a huge expectations with the halving.
I read the threads and most of the people said that bitcoin will grow $700, $800, $900 on a halving day. But i never see that bitcoin cross it, and now halving has gone, so in the coming month i think the price of bitcoin will come down again.     

I think the chances of seeing the price remain relatively stable are higher than going down much lower than the current price, which I actually don't mind. I also like stability in the price.

Well, after the halving i really was foreseeing either a huge market crash or a huge market pump. It seems like however, the holders win again. The price has changed virtually by nothing after the halving, which is strange to me.

I disagree, if demand is getting higher everyday then we must see a big pump everyday and the price wouldn't be falling down. But that's not the case, may there are poeple that is using bitcoin now but they are not still many as what we think to make the bitcoin price move higher.

The demand for the low at the moment. In a few years, many people will use bitcoin and the price will be stable.
